Hi guys,

I just signed up here. Pretty cool place. I'm in to movie costume and props. I actually own a couple original props from Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. You probably noticed that I'm a fan of Ridley Scott. I'm also a SW franchise fan. Looking forward to meeting all of you here.

Hi all, just recently joined the forum. I'm a collector of movie and video game character coats; mainly long coats and trench coats. Once I started accumulating coats of famous characters I just ended up assembling their entire outfits. I'm a huge fan of cyberpunk, especially Blade Runner and Shadowrun.
I'm a frequent purchaser of coats from Abbyshot, leatherslub.com and recently Magnoli clothiers that have helped me complete some outfits.

Im a litlle bit longer here and haven't introduce yet, so here it is :)
Name Nikola, comming from Croatia, big Fallout fanboy, also building two NCR masks, the forum is great, comunity is very helpful ;)

Hi, new member MigStig. I love seeing all the amazing work on this site! it inspires
me to be more creative. I am starting a Kroenen mask build. Would love to start some
Stargate the movie, The Mummy, or Indiana Jones props too.

Greetings, I'm a battleship and I broadside things. Hence the nickname Broadside. :p
I want to start getting into resin prop making more specifically swords and knifes. I have this thread here if anyone wants to give me any tips on how to get started. Any help would be appreciated. :)

Hello everyone, my real name is Charles. I was introduced to this group by a friend that is working on an R2 Astromech droid.

I find replica prop making amazing, and am in awe of the talent I've seen here (and other similar boards) I formally was into Kitbashing, or custom figure making, specifically Beast Wars and Transformers toys. I collect official Replica Props like Anakin Skywalkers' Lightsaber, and the Communicators & Phasors from Star Trek TOS.

I am VERY interested in the Omni from the Voyagers thread here. When I was a kid I made home made versions of that thing out of pretty much anything I could find to remotely resemble it. The one in the thread looks Amazing!

As I mentioned in another thread, I make replica masks from a band called Hollywood Undead. Nothing fancy, but I get better every time I make one. Anyway, I'm really glad I found this place, although I'll probably lurk in wonder more than actually posting.

Welcome Charles, definitely keep an eye on this Omni thread, Rob is going to do an awesome job on this replica.

Hello,
I live in this fair city and thought I would join this forum. I am divorce with three resplendent children. We live in Memphis, TN.
I relish a Budlight and ostensibly, according to the Age, I probably relish an exorbitant amount. I am a firm believer in the fact that being salubrious is the slowest and most painful way of dying. I am pristinely a tyro amongst professionals here, but I dote to paint. I dote this site, it is genuinely inspirational

Hi, I'm Stu just started the pep movement by making an iron man helmet came out great but too floppy, I used the wrong foam :(. I am now gonna use the proper fiberglass and bondo method. Can't wait to post my end product

I could use all the hints and advise i can take and you are willing to give. I am a cosplayer, so most of what I built is not soo much detail oriented, more for wear 'n tear. But i build what I can with what i've got. thanks

Hey guys, I signed up initially to gawk at stuff after Adam Savage mentioned this place on a good few videos, and in the space of about 4 hours I went from wanting to look at stuff to wanting to build it.

Thankfully I'm from Nottingham, UK, and there's a pretty big hackspace here, so once I'm done with University I can get making.

Hello.
I am Jeremy, from Texas. I haven't built much on the props side of things, mainly just random builds just for fun. I am at the Art Institute for Digital Film and Video Production. I am in the process of producing a short I wrote and will be directing. I found this site through Adam Savage's youtube videos of his builds he does and that got me interested in trying to build more on the prop side of things. I felt this site would be a great place of learning.

Hiya, I'm Tom from the UK. Been lurking for many months now but since I'm now beginning my first journey into cosplay (for my child) I thought best to finally sign up. The work on here has truly inspired me to get my own creative (and on a budget) juices flowing.

Currently slowly building up a Deadpool cosplay for my child who is 9 and is a Deadpool fan so I'll probably be around here a lot more. I'm also getting into pepakura, again for my child, who is also a fan of Iron Man and Captain America.

Hey, I'm Bailey from Yorkshire, UK. I've been lurking on these forums for some time now and thought it was time to create an account and start sharing my builds.

I'm currently working on a pepakura / fiber glass / Bondo War Machine suit. I'll be starting a build log in the near future.

Thanks for the inspiration and hopefully I can give something back to this great community real soon.

Welcome along to all new members, it's awesome here you will love it, dive in and get involved :D:thumbsup

Hi, Kevin Taylor here, founder of Hyde Fundraisers, a costuming group in the UK which has a particular specialism in Doctor Who. We were formed back in 1985 and have held two stageshows with permission of the BBC - THE TRIAL OF DAVROS - starring the original actors who played Davros in the classic Doctor Who series.

We have both classic and new series characters including Silurian, Exillon, Draconian, Sycorax, Ood, Pig Slave, Santa, Dalek Sec Hybrid, Judoon, Daleks, Classic Davros, Weeping Angel and Scarecrow amongst them.

We've had some amazing help from some of the guys on this forum and we continue to grow our range of characters to help us raise more funds for charity.

Hello from Michigan, My name is Rob and I'm a sculptor and prop builder. I am part of the 501st Legion "Great lakes Garrison" I have a Tusken Raider costume that I made and helped many others make theirs. I'm big into Star Wars and anything Sci-Fi and Horror. I have been apprenticing under The great Bobby Causey for the last 10 months and what I have learned in such a short time has been amazing. If any of you have had the chance to meet or talk to Bobby you know what a down to earth guy he is. I have been helping him on some of his projects and he gave me the opportunity to help him on a Tv pilot what a great experience. While helping Bobby I have also been working on my own things I am happy to announce that I just finished my first life size bust of a Tusken Raider. I made the Tusken because I collect anything Tusken Raider and there isn't much out there so I wanted to make my own. While sculpting the piece Bobby watched over my shoulder and would give me advice and guidance when I get frustrated. I would not have been able to finish this without his support. Though we have not known each other very long I consider Bobby not only my friend but my brother. I will post some pics of the Tusken soon.

Thanks so much for your time.
Rob.

Hello, I'm from Oklahoma. My name is Derek and I found this site a week ago after I went digging through old boxes, I came across my old original timer case and Egyptian timer case. I tried starting them 7 or 8 years ago but couldn't find the time. So, I thought I would try to search out a place to help me do that and I came across this site. All I have is the cases for the two so I will probably be trying to locate this parts and find help to finally complete them since I was a major Sliders fan. If any of you have finished either timer and got them to working, I wouldn't mind a little advice or help getting started so until then I plan to read all the sliders timer related stuff to gain all the knowledge I can.

Thanks for your time.
-Derek
