Just wanted to introduce myself and say "Hi". I've lurked for a while as I read up on various topics. I just got into costuming and prop building earlier this year (focused on Star Wars so far) and have made Jedi costumes for myself and my wife as well as a lightsaber for my wife. In the near future I'll probably branch out a bit with other sci-fi items.

Hello RPF members,

My name is Jordan and I am actually primarily here to learn more about how to mold and create some replica-like in order to use in computer case modding. I really want to make an EVE Online Kronos spaceship computer case but need to start smaller first. Zac suggested this site for getting started on some of the ideas I had. So a big thanks to Zac for pointing me in this direction and a big hello to else.

I collect Transformers, G.I Joe, and various video-game items. Once I get started I would like to make a mold of my Skyrim dragon statue and attempt to make an altered look for it.

Hi everyone, I just got interested in costumes and props after going to Star Wars Celebration VI. As of right now I'm mainly interested in just Star Wars props and costumes. I have no idea how to make or even where to begin making clone trooper armor so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hey All,

New to the forum, I'm a lass from Australia... still relatively new to the whole cosplay/costuming side of things, but I'm enjoying it so far.

I have numerous costumes in the WIP category!

Such as a re-make of my She-Ra costume (as seen in my Display Pic) the others include:

Cortana (Halo) <lol think that one is obvious given my user name ;) hehe>
Elektra (movie version)
Codex (from The Guild)
Joan of Arc (for a Bill & Ted cosplay group)
Kahlan (for a Legend of the Seeker cosplay group)
Alice (RE: Apocalypse)
River Tam (Serenity/Firefly cosplay group)

and wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy more that I seem to add to the list on a weekly basis lol

Anyway, thought I'd drop in & say hi - loving seeing all the creations people are coming up with on here :)

hello everyone

been reading this forum for awhile but noe only just signed up

london area based i started off in cosplay but now mostly just build props and costume parts for fun for friends,

currnently working on the new hidden blade from Assassin's Creed 3 for a friends cosplay and Thor's hammer from the Avengers to display in my local comic book shop (for fun)

looking for get more tips and ideas on prop and model building from the forums and meet new people

well hai guys my names luke and me and my dad make hidden blades
you know like from assassins creed i also make little gizmos that aren't as interesting but i thought id share and im glad to be here :)
the locking mechanism and retraction mec is string operated a pull on the cord and it retracts

Hey guys. My names Rob. New here but Ive tryin to look around on the site. Its cool, lot of talented people here! Im trying to put together a Black Spiderman costume the symbiot version. Open to any tips! Im using a Black spandex suit but having a hard time figuring out how to apply the front and back spiders.. Nice to meet every one!

Howdy,

I'm from New York City and work as a reality TV director/producer. I am not a cosplayer or a prop master. I recently started a non-profit group called The Hero Project. Essentially what the organization's mission is to get cosplayers to visit sick kids in hospitals across the nation as well as reading to kids at libraries, show up for toy drives, etc, etc.

Anyway, I am going to dress up as Captain America TFA to start out the organization. So far I have purchased the costume from UD Replicas, but now am looking to complete my costume by purchasing the helmet and shield. I have looked all over the net and am really glad I found this place, as I am really impressed by the passion of the members on this board on what they do.

If you get a chance, please check out my non-profit's FB page. We just started, but hope to build a following soon.

Hello,

I'm as novice as they get to replica costumes and props although I have sculpted in the past my experience is all about sketching. This year my son wants to be predator for Halloween... And this is why I'm here. To learn. Last year he was Skitzo from the Living Dead Dolls, he wants to step it up so I'm making most of the items for him.

Thanks to this site I have learn quite a bit already.

I been looking roamin the site for a couple of months now learning whatever i can about pep building. My iron man mark 7 is almost complete and couldnt be happier for my first build. The aim is to get ready for halloween but already planning my next build so pepakura is addictive as they say lol

Hey all.

My name is Pete, I have been playing with papercraft models for about a year now. Just recently I have started to think about building a full set of pepakura armour either masterchief or Iron man (a little cliche I know but I gotta start somewhere).

I have come across this site several times in my reading up and research for starting my own build. Some of the stuff that I have seen that has been built by people on this site is just incredible. And the support from people to help others learn has been just as good. This is why I signed up, I hope to be a benefit to this site.

Hey guys,

Just a quick intro. I've pretty much been involved with art to some degree my entire life. Be it a sketch, model, or sculpt. I discovered comics at a fairly young age and have collected them for sometime as well. I later got into collecting movie related figures and have been doing so for fifteen years. About four years ago I found the Lair and have been doing predator related projects since. I decided to make the leap to the rpf with my first superhero related sculpt. Hope to post it soon.

Hi people! My name is Constantine and I'm new in this awesome world of replica stuff. Checked some threads with replica alien guns and wanna say they look SWEEET! Trying to find some information on how to learn to make that stuff. Nice to meet you Guys, and if anyone know how to create one of the nerf guns please send a message I'd be unbelievably happy. what up rpf members. names matt i stumbled on this site looking for pep files for a shadow guard costume. ive got a sandtrooper costume and now want to start something new i was thinking of a couple of costumes thor white ranger and a old republic sith any with with where i can find some of there files would be cool. thanks
