Evening all, I'm Dom from the south of the UK (Newbury anyone??). Got shown towards this forum by a guy at work to look at one of his sculptures he sold many moons ago which had reappeared on here. Within a week of him joining he was urging me to check out the replica costumes section. Within a week of that we started a Mk III Iron Man suit. Once it gets a little more than a few hours work, might even start a thread!!

Hi
My name is Denise and many of you know me from Star Wars costuming as a seamstress and costume fabricator. I have been into sewing since I was a child and into costuming in particular for over 2 decades. I live in Florida and work quietly out of my home in Spring Hill. Love the variety of work here and am looking forward to being an active member of this community of artist and admirers of the hobby/business of props and costuming.
I have been a "lurker" here for 4 years and have not posted much, but enjoy what I have read and seen here. Keep up the good work fellow artisans.

Hi everyone !
I'm Anthony from France. I've been looking what's goin'on here for a while, since I've seen the tutorials of Stealth and Xrobots on youtube.

I've made an Harlock cosplay so far, with a wooden replica of the cosmodragoon, and now I'd love to start an Iron Man foam building.
Sure I'll find here some cool tips and advice !
Maybe create a thread of it when started...

Hi everyone,

I'm David from Dublin, Ireland. I'm a member of the Emerald Garrison, a Star Wars (and much more) costuming club.
In 2010 I built my own Stormtrooper costume. Currently I am attempting to build an Iron Man mk iv costume. Some excellent threads to follow on Iron Man builds.

Hi,

My name's Richard. I found this site while searching for Rocketeer stuff, been lurking for a while and really enjoy the site.

I really like The Rocketeer, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars. I'm really impressed with the Iron Man work that's been done here.

Hi,

My name is Rich (also) I am brand new to prop making. I do bladesmithing in my spare time and would like to pick up prop making to enhance my work and also to just have fun.

I am amazed at the quality of some of the stuff some folks are producing on this forum and I can't wait to have a go! So many questions...

If there are any other prop makers in or around MA please feel free to contact me.

Cheers

Rich

Hello guys! Name's AT. I'm a professional wrestler and comic book geek/nerd. Also looking to FINALLY start cosplaying. Haha! I am on here to mainly look for a costume replica or close to it of the Amazing Spider-Man from this Summer's new blockbuster film. I am needing it for cosplaying at con's and for a job... yes, I said it. I am going to start going to parties, birthday parties, etc. as Spider-Man. I can do all of the movements and flips and such so I discussed it over with some people and they all seem to agree with me. It'd be like they do at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. So, I am looking to purchase the costume (as I said above) and the web shooters if possible. All at through a reasonable price range. So if you guys can help me out, please, let me know! Thanks!

-ATB.

Hello,

I'm a big movie buff, I especially like Iron Man, so much so I hope to start collecting soon and was happy to find some talented builders working on helmets for sale. So that's a plus.

Until I can convince the girlfriend to let me save up about 500-1000 bucks for a replica helmet though, I figured I'd browse around the Resident Evil and Iron Man topics and maybe take a shot at building my own pepakura ironman helmet for the first time.

I also enjoy browsing the screen used props forum, props are what make the movie so they are indeed very special items.

Hi, I'm mark from UK been a long time lurker on here...mainly admiring MCL34N's awesome spidey reboot costume..... :eek
I have always liked tinkering about with stuff around the house to see what i can make (still at a very basic level) but even though my work is very amateur, i still get a buzz from the fact i created what ever it was from scratch.

My only effort i was proud of was Darth Maul i did for a friends heroes and villains party.....makeup took a few attempts as did the makeshift horns i sculpted out of polystyrene, but the overall look, complete with dual lightsaber("borrowed" from my son :rolleyes) was a real hit at the party

Looking forward to improving my skills with the vast knowledge base that is posted here by some very talented artists :thumbsup

Hello,

My name is John. I build stuff every now and then. This forum is a great motivational kick in da keyster. If anyone has a good idea on how to turn a 26 inch 0.08 aluminum flat circle into a domed Cap America shield, I'd love to hear it. I don't have a metal spinner and standing on it ain't working. Maybe I need to put on some weight!! Eureka!

off to the grocery store!

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Quick hello.. Glad the RPF is winning the battle for the site.. I've always had difficulty getting things from the old Rpf.. Even though I am aquatinted with a LOT of the 501st and am friends.. No REALLY... Friends with most of the actors from a lot of our fav shows... I hope I will have better success at things by joining the gang.. Which by the way goes against my credo in life... Lol! Hope Comic-con is fun for those that attend:) stop by say hello.. Peter Mayhew is always signing at my booth... Safe travels to Diego
