Hi All,
My name is Sean and I am currently living in Adelaide, South Australia. Recently came across the forum as I am totally new at costume making. Collected comics, action figures, replica props etc for years and now really interested in making the leap into full costumes.

I have assembled a few full outfits in the past from war/action movies as I also play airsoft but as these are usually based on actual equipment this has been less of a challenge than what I plan for the future.

Anyway, thought I'd start with a hello.

Hi, my name is Stein R. (24yo) and I live in Belgium

I found this website a few months ago when i was looking for reference pics for Arkham Asylum's "The Scarecrow" for a halloween Party. Since then i've been vitising the site weekly and since last month daily.

I got interested in Pepakura because i love movie props and costumes. I'm currently working on my first Pep Prop (Mjolnir). I hope to make a Batman costume in the future.

So that was my short introduction

Hello to all guys here!

I found this forum looking for some papekura desings and after surfing for weeks loving all designs people do (not only papekura but movie costumes, etc,...) I decided to be part of the forum.

Hope I were as talented sewing and designing on PS (or any other design program) as people around here.
But I will try my best to grow on experience and feel proud of been member.

My focus is costuming for charity, particularly super heroes. I'm trying to learn to sew and repair a few spandex costumes.

Hey there everybody! Names Jake, glad to be joining this awesome group of individuals! I have been interested in costuming and prop building since I was a first grader trying to make Keaton style bat wings for use in failed gliding attempts. I have had pdf's of rami style spidey suits and never the know how to build me some sickness. Recently I was drafted into a themed wedding as Altair, and decided to build my own costume( or a good portion of it) so I'm still a newbie, but I'm hoping to glean all I can here and hopefully pick up one of MCL34N's amazing prints, sew it up and have some fun! I`m Peerie also known as hades15096,I`m very new to all this,but with me being new I`m always willing to listen and learn from all the people here.

At the moment I`m statring a project to build a nanosuit 2 and its a big task.

I found a obj file of the suite and have already broken it down in to pieces: helmet,cest,arms,legs and feet and hands but I need to unfold them.

I`ve trying with the chest piece and to be honest I`m not even sure if I`m going in the right direction with it,so if any body would like to give me advice or help me I would be greatfull I have the viles shared on my skydrive so send me a message and i would gladly give the link.

This is the best community I that is out there and believe me I`ve looked.

Introductions!

I've been lurking on here for a while and just starting to post now. Everybody here has some really great advice.

I'm starting on a EVA foam Iron Man now after a failed attempt at a cardstock Pep build. I'll be sure to post the work in progress. I'm sure I will have lots of questions.

Thanks for all the great info! I'm looking forward to helping contribute to it as I learn more.

Hi, I'm Dave from Atlanta.

Like many, I've been reading the forums for a few weeks now, marveling at the imagination and craftsmanship on display here and finally decided to sign up and participate.

I've always been interested in replica props, but historically only bought them from Factory X and Museum Replicas and the like. Until a friend and I built a proton pack as a project for halloween last year and now my interest in building them has been ignited!

I hope to learn a lot and eventually contribute my own build threads (I'll be upgrading my proton pack with sound this fall and am waiting for a Captain America aluminum shield blank to arrive as my summer project) to this amazing forum.

Been curious about doing some home made models for fun for some time now. For now though I am just browsing to see which way I want to go.

I am thinking pepakura to start with, maybe some woodworking. I have general handy skills but I am sure I will need some help along the way.

Hey all - new member. I got into collecting with Master Replicas sabers; I owned most of the FX sabers at one point, and I've still got a lot of scaled replicas around. My interest here is in making props instead of buying them. I feel sort of silly spending money on one, where making one feels if not like art, at least like a fun hobby.

I live in the Seattle area, but I've recently lived in Tennessee and I'm originally from Utah. I love Star Wars but hate George Lucas (mild hate). Kirk > Picard. I've got 5 young kids. I like cars; in particular I'm fond of big American V-8s and vintage Hondas.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and I've already soaked up tons of good advice lurking.

Alienslegacy forum is where I hang my hat... This is year 5 into my Smartgunner's costume build and still growing. Money has been and always will be a major setback for me, which is why it's taking me so long to finish this damn costume.
I really admire the work a lot of you have done on your builds, and it's a constant source of inspiration for me.
