re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hey guys! I've been lurking for quite awhile, looking at the impressive stuff some of you guys own and or recreate and figured it was time I introduce myself.

Right now my main interests in this hobby is Hellboy, Indiana Jones, NOES, F13th, & Batman....my collection really isn't too huge and consists mainly of the few NOES & horror related items of which I hope to expand. My prized item right now is a NOES remake glove built by Joe D. Mack I recently acquired and I love it....

Hope to talk to some of you guys in the near future and get to know you better...have a good one!

Greetings! I'm known as Shipwreck as a callsign. Name's Mike. I joined the forum at this being my second post. Figured I'd stop by and throw an introduction out there!

I reside in Florida, and My girl and I both like to Cosplay, so we do plenty of conventions down here. I have an interest in Martial Arts, Music, Modeling, and collector of many items, including props, weapons(prop and real), games and toys .
Mainly G.I.Joe, Transformers, Thundercats, Ninja Turtles, Marvel, Star Wars, etc.. you get the Idea. I also play Airsoft, and enjoy it very much!

Hi all, I'm from the UK. I found this forum whilst searching for replica cowls and have been simply amazed at the quality of workmanship amongst these threads!. I currently have a few 1/6th scale figures and vehicles and now have got an urge to move onto collecting props and hopefully grab myself a TDK Cowl soon.

Hi,

I found my way here after Googling Mars Attacks Maquette. I usually buy model kits, but there looks to be some great work here. I live in Brisbane, Australia.

Hello I'm a art student/ prop maker I hope to develope more sophisticated skills here. I'm currently working on a special build with materials I developed. I like miniature props like the saint gadgets, James Bond spy tech, and Batman props from the new movies as well as the Tim Burton batman movies. I'm hoping to develop a new stretch fabric to use in my props. If you have any other questions or wish to contact me please check out this blog or my e-mail address.

Hello all
Nice to be here. My names Mark and I happened on the RPF while looking for info on Hasbro Clone conversions and Rubies Darth vader helmets. At present I'm about halfway through the Hasbro conversion and the DV is waiting patiently in the wings. I'll be posting pics of the Hasbro and a couple of other projects (a scratchbuilt E11 and a DL44) as soon as I can.

Regards
Mark

Hi there, folks. As you can see, I joined quite a while back (at the advice of a certain long time member), and have been sort of sitting back and watching things happen here for a bit. With my first prop purchase this week, I've decided to finally get involved with the community properly.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hey all,

I've being a member for quite some time now but haven't posted anything because, well I haven't actually had anything to post. GDafi, a fellow member from the old Serenity (as in the film) Oz forums got me to join up, and I've been kind of an active member of the 405th for several years now mainly concentrating on weapon blueprints which can be seen here if anyone is interested-

Juliet76's Blueprints

Wizard of Flight's blueprinting work is a big inspiration for me.

My partner and I have wormed our way into making up some props for a fellow we know that's doing a re-enactment of Pulp Fiction's Big Kahuna Burger scene for YouTube. They're far from screen accurate but work well and are better than what he's used in any of his previous re-enactments.

Look forward to showing mine and Linda's work and hope to move on to bigger and better prop building with a great online community!

Regards- Joe.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Greetings all,

I am a long time lurker and been a member since late last year finally. I just want to say thank you all for being being a good group of brillant minded folks that always have an answer and have helped me out just from reading others questions.

My name is Miles and I currently reside in Kansas City MO where my wife and children are and my business. I original got the collecting and building bug back in 88 or so when I was brought into the world of Mattel toys as a poster child and toy promoter. I saw many things that never made it to the retail world and was able to keep some things here and there which sparked my intrest.

I have joined for the main purpose to learn how to create masks and helmets which i will plan on having displayed more of one day in my theater room thanks to this community. Also any builders or prop peeps in my area are surrounding message me because i like knowledge and we can grow stronger.

Miles

Hey all!

I've been a Star Wars nerd since I ca remember; heck, I'm sure it reaches back to when I was fetal :)

Anyway, in this recent year, I wondered if it might be possible to build and create my own set of a Darth Vader costume. I saw some amazing exampls on YouTube and websites, but felt that I was but a young, feeble padowan in ever being able to do something like those myself.

Alas, this school semester, I committed myself to our semester project of obtaining a full scale DarthVader for my project on the metaphorical struggle we each deal with to a degree between good and evil in our own lives. And after a bit of research, I found this community, and the heavens opened their kind graces upon me! :)

Brilliant community, with a dizzying impressiveness of skill and friendliness toward each other. Im excited to be a part!!

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello All,
Somewhat of a returning member, used to go on this site frequently about 7 years ago when I was putting together my first couple of costumes. Had to take an extended break and become a poor college student, but now my hard work has payed off and things have settled down and to make a long story short I have a new house to fill with all sorts of cool stuff, and what better way to get back in the game then re-join the site that got me started in the beginning. Glad to be back

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi everybody. The work I have seen on these forums has truly inspired me to have a go at an IronMan mkIII suit of my own. If I could match the craftsmanship of some of you guys it would be a miracle though.

One question though. I originally joined the hacked site but it came to my attention this was hacked a month ago. I just want to make sure I have the right site now.

Happy prop building guys!

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

bamboodia, I saw the same thing. Just don't go to the hacked site. therpf.com is safe.

Now, for my introduction.

Hey guys, I wanted to say that I've been visiting this site for the past year off and on. The site has been an invaluable source of help for me, from construction to ideas.

So finally I have decided to create an account so I can ask a few more questions, and get some more in dept answers and critiques. Thanks everyone for the time and support put in to make this site as great as it is.

Hey

I'm new to RPF, looking to learn as much as I can about the prop making process, and was recommended that i start here with you guys.

I have been costuming for about a decade and dabbling in props for those costumes. Now that I have space to work (a garage) I want to expand into casting and such.

Any advice would be awesome and I plan to haunt as many threads as I can to pick up tips and tricks.

Oh, and if you have Captain America Stuff for sale, hit me up. i'm buying. :)
