Hi all, Kersten from San Diego here (no I'm not a girl) I love to tinker and such, but don't have tons of great skill in prop making, love the stuff though, I have a ZPM that I've wired up with lights and such from Stargate Atlantis, a Ronon replica blaster, a replica open zat, replica TER gun, and an authentic R75 bug and an ancient weapon (from Aurora) that I got from a Propworx auction. I am working on creating my first prop, a Rickmann's timer from the series Sliders, the one that Maggie's husband created. I am using a Sega Genesis controller and I just yesterday hacked open the hole for the screen, parts are en route in the mail.

Hi my name is Michael and live in Calgary, Alberta. Canada. I have wanted to be part of this forum for along time and am glad to be here. I am so inspired by the amazing talent here. i used to build studio scale replicas of vehicles from Gerry Anderson shows? But my work as a International Flight Attendant keeps me airborne and around the globe and away from my model bench:wacko.

Greetings! I am known as ekzrated. I have many online appearances throughout various different fora, and dabble in a bit of everything including amateur scientific inquiry, political discourse, theological/non-theological debate, and artistic expression.

I have no connection to the entertainment industry, despite wishing I could be a part of it, especially in prop-design and fabrication.

In any case, I am also a bit of a comic book geek, as I collect various different products, comic-related, and found this forum searching for a Green Lantern replica ring.

Hello everyone, my name is Jarrod and I live in Indiana (for the moment). I am a digital artist who has worked with companies such as EA, Vivendi, and Sony Entertainment but currently work on childrens games for hospitals now. I am a huge Superman (Christopher Reeve), Smallville, and Supernatural fan. I have made contact with a few members here already and am commissioning them on a few 1:1 busts. I love all things related to these shows and movies and am interested in expanding my collection anyway I can. May I say the work that everyone does here is awesome and I am looking to learn and begin sculpting (outside of 3D software) and airbrushing (outside of Painter and Photoshop). If you have any resources that have helped you over the years...please feel free to shoot me a PM as I really want to learn from all of you here.

Hi all I'm Lindsay, from South Wales, UK. I've been costuming on and off for about 10 years, and now getting into prop making to complement my outfits. I also do a lot of model making and miniature painting, so I've got a house full of handy materials to get me started!

My main fandoms are Star Wars, Doctor Who (classic), Blake's 7; but if my interest is piqued I'll have a go at just about anything. I also do steampunk and historical costuming for reenactment.

I am new here but I have been reading you guys alot.

I do my own original props/replicas from the MYST video game series.

I have also done the first full metal Mandalore the Ultimate(not complete because of the blaster that remains) in the Mercs Forum and also TDH forum.

I am now in the procees of building the resin T-800 Endo arm and that is why I came here to bring an idea I had that could help other builder in this resin hard build.

Hey all,

I've been here for a little while actually but only just recently had time to get actively involved.

I have a couple of projects on the go, namely attempting to replicate the cane that Castor/Zeus uses from Tron Legacy.

I work a lot in theatre, in lighting and props, so bringing the two together is very fun for me. I also like cold armor work, leather working, sewing, and anything I can get my hands on.

Really glad to see everyone's projects on the go!

My name id German, I'm from San Diego CA, I have been browsing the page and found that is an awesome webpage, right now i'm currently working on Guy Manuel helmet, i will be posting pictures of my W.I.P.

I have more projects in mined that i want to do, but time and work wont let me

there are a few costumes I would like to create are:
*IronMan Mark VI armor (yes I know, another one :lol)
*Predator costume
*Giger Alien
*Robocop (he is one of my childhood heores :sleep)
*Ghostbusters (wit proton pack)
*Saint Seiya (I haven't decided wish armor to make but when the time come I will know :confused)
*Cloud Strife's First Tsurungi (I alreday made Cloud's costume I only need the create a workable fusion sword)

Hello, my name is Jørgen, and I'm from Norway. I love movies in general, sci-fi and if there are cars in them especially. I haven't really made any movie props, but if I ever make a movie (which is a unfulfilled dream so far) I would design everything myself. I'm an artist, and I can draw more or less anything, and I have build a bunch of model cars, one of which is a 'Mad Max' wannabe replica, and a 'Dukes of Hazzard' Charger is on the way. And I do a lot of photochopping of cars, and i like to include a few Mad Max references there too. I found this forum first while looking for better pics of the Event Horizon, cause I like the design of it, and I just stuck around looking at all the amazing work being done here, and i like meddling in movie discussions

Hi everyone,
I missed this thread somehow ... so this will not be my first post. My name is Ryan and I am working on my Ph.D. in organic chemistry at the Scripps Research Institute. I've poked around the RPF from time to time but was never able to register. Recently, in conjunction with finally starting to assemble a decent Vader costume, I ventured back onto the RPF and was pleasantly surprised to find I could register. Bonus points if you can figure out where my screen name is from ... don't Google it, that is cheating. It is related tangentially to chemistry.

As a Grad Student I spend most of my time in the lab or at my desk. I am working on a new class of chemotherapeutics at the moment. Check out Scripps Research Home for details on the institute as a whole.

I've only got a few costumes under my belt, but my favorite one that i've done has got to be VILE from Mega Man X, cause thats the one that i put the most work into making so far (I'm actually going to be remaking this costume). I guess thats pretty much it.

A buddy of mine originally turned me on to this site, and I recently re-discovered it while searching for some Farscape reference pictures.
