I'm RoseJynx and I am absolutely new to the cosplay community. I'm 20 years old and have loved anime for a long time, I just never really got into it more until I was about 18. I was to busy letting my brain be mushed by high school, my parents, and my job! I've really opened up more to myself and all the new things that I have missed in my life. I have wanted to cosplay for a long time and now, with the help of this forum, I see this idea in my head becoming a reality! I live in Ohio and I've never been to a comic con... -facepalm- I know I know, boring life!

I really am interested in cosplaying series like Naruto, Voltron, Soul Eater, Black Butler, Black Clover, and so so so much more than just shows and manga characters. Fantasy species have been rolling around in my head lately too! (I know that makes me sound a bit crazy, but I promise it's not like they talk to me -insert breathy nervous laugh-)

If anyone on here cosplays those specific groups and has any tips please don'f be afraid to message me! I'm a beginner and I really want to learn! Especially how to make my own costumes! :)

Thanks for all of your time!

New member. Been following threads for a while getting ideas. Really big noob with cosplaying and trying to learn to do some things. Unfortunately I’ve never been very crafty but trying is part of the fun. I’ve seen some pretty amazing builds put together on here.

Hey all...new to the site. Arrived here trying to get some information on Goldberg Arms from watching Adam Savage do a one day build on the snub-nose blade runner blaster. Happy to find the site and looking forward to gleaning some good information. Not entirely sure what I'm getting myself into but it should be an adventure ;>0

Hello All,

Thank you for letting me join the group, greatly appreciated. I have been an admirer of props for decades but never had the ability to pull the trigger on some of the things I was after. I'm finally happy to say I am ready to join all of you great folks in this passion for props! Nothing major I own as of now but looking at what I can do to get going. I am an avid sports fan and collector of pop culture items.

I have many statues, 1:6 scale figures as well as a couple of Conan Swords made by Albion Armorers, I also collect championship belts. Not the knock-offs or kid replicas but the real deal belts. On of my closest friends makes belts for the WWF/WWE as well as other MMA promotions as well as other entertainment establishments.

Here is a pic from my collection from a few years ago.

Happy to be here and thanks again!

Hi all! My names Lindsay and I'm starting on my genji cosplay journey. I've been researching for a while on working with foam, pep files and airbrushing since that's what I'm hoping to use (so any and all tips are appreciated!). My other cosplay I've finished and am just doing minor upgrades to here and there is mandalorian armor :D thanks for having me and hope to get to know you guys!

Hi everyone! I've been redirected to this website from this Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7WTGa3rWv0

I'm not really a cosplayer, but I do want to put together one costume and cosplay a character. This'll be my first time properly using paint, getting fabric and props just for one character, and I figuered that I could have a helping hand by going to this website!

Hey all! Figured I should pop in here and say hello.

I worked in industrial design/prototyping for years, but am currently working in game development. This leaves me wanting to do nothing but BUILD STUFF in my off hours.
I'm mostly hear to keep an eye out for cool garage kits. Looking forward to picking everyone's brains and building some fun display pieces for my apartment.

Hello Every one!

My name is Max... I live in California and I have been interested in building props and my friend recommended me this site and after viewing all the wonderful information that you guys have. I have decided to join this team of creators and makers. I am right now learning how to use a 3D printer and my first choice to make was the Han Solo Blaster. I got all the parts from Thingiverse web site but I said what better way to find out if those parts are accurate than checking here. So thank you in advance for your help and I hope some day I could be of help to you guys. Have a great day!

Hi, I'm Max and I really like roleplay. I do a lot of miltiary simulations in airsoft. They are lots of fun! I usually run my m4 (I have put a lot of upgrades into it to make it much more accurate and shoot faster, but I also like to run with my FN Herstal FN2000 now and then for fun. Here are some pictures below.

Hello everyone, I finally decided to become a part of the RPF crew. I have been working on different projects for people and also my own. I figured i will be a part of this site to show people and also receive feedback on diy projects. Be involved in helping others and also receiving help. My major project and goal is building a Ironman Mark 42 suit.

Heya! New member, of course, dropping in to say hi. Long time lurker, finally time to jump in. I’m in the DFW area and looking to begin work on a couple pieces. My background is in art, mech engineering, and construction although I’ve been a boring old business guy for far too long.

This year I’m hoping to work with a group on some prop replicas for charity. On the personal side I’d love to get a Vader done finally. I’m only 5’11” so I’ll be closer to Darth Helmet but my kids and I will love it regardless.

Nice to meet you all and I look forward to getting to know more about the group!

Hello everyone, my name is OzytheHaystack and (much like Derek above) I am a nerd. :) I love Marvel, Star Wars, Transformers, Bionicle, Avatar: The Last Aurbender, almost anything produced by Studio Ghibli, many different anime series, the Lord of the Rings, and much more! I live in Canada and am married to fellow RPF member Clanleader16. (He may have mentioned me in his Captain America shield build thread once or twice ;) ). I've been cosplaying on and off since 2011 and am a self-taught seamstress, having been sewing my own clothing and costumes since 2012. I go by either Ozy or Haystack (Ozy is preferred) so feel free to say hey! I don't bite. :)

Greetings from New Zealand :)

I'm a huge fan of sci-fi, and have had the luck to live near a bunch of passionate cosplayers so prop & costume building has become a little bit of an obsession.

Favourite fandoms are Blade Runner (original and 2049) and Star Wars, but there are many more in between. Adam Savage is a huge inspiration, and Bill Doran at Punished Props has taught me a huge amount as well. Favourite builds are a tie between my Blade Runner blasters and Deadshot's custom AR-15 and wrist guns from Suicide Squad.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Hi RPF, I've been a long time fan of this forum but only recently registered as a member.

I'm a Mechanical Engineer/ CAD designer from Sweden who's into cosplay and historical reenactment.
I'm a hobbyist historical arms-and armourmaker specialising in viking and pre-viking age and I 3D-print props for cosplay, mostly from the Doctor Who reboot series though I've also modeled some MIB guns including a Cricket and Tri-barrel.

I'm a big fan of space suits from all kinds of Sci-Fi.

I'm currently working on the helmet for my Orange Doctor Who Spacesuit and have a blog about it here:
http://engineermakercosplay.blogspot.com/?m=1

Here's a diagram of the current status of the helmet:

Helmet%2Bbuild%2Bassy.jpg

It's advanced 3d modeling intended for 3D-printing with the goal of making a photoreal replica (for personal use) -if possible.
