Hey, everybody!

My introduction into cosplay and making props happened about three years ago when my wife suggested that we and our four kids dress up as Star Wars characters for Halloween. Since that moment, I've been hooked. I knew that I was hooked when I asked for a sewing machine for Father's Day.

Over the past three years, I've had the opportunity build some really cool stuff. I've typically posted things on Instructables in the past, but I've always been amazed by this website and the incredible talent I've seen here.

A few selected builds over the past few years:

Hi everyone, I'm from Colombia and I've been visiting the site a lot of times, a few year ago I started in the world of pepakura models and then I made my first model, it was an Iron man helmet but it was too big, then I made the Lich King sword and I fully completed it, then I made the Iron Man Mark 42 helmet, and now I'm working on the hand and forearm, I hope to upload some pictures so that you can give me your opinion, thanks a lot.

Hello everybody.

I was always amazed to see how people build there costumes and fan-props. So i was very happy to find these page with all its information and guidelines. I'm a professional photographer with a lot of crazy ideas. My last adventure took me 1 year of building, armor, weapons and cars for my ROADWARRIOR shooting.

My next plan is to build armor and weapons for "Guardians of the Galaxy".

So long, thats all.

Greetings and salutations to all!! I've never done props quite like this... I've been a yard haunter for awhile but life happens and things change. Now that I am getting back into the mood of building stuff again. I decided to dedicate most (if not all) of my builds to my one true love. Star Wars.. I am from the OTR years of 77'-83'. Actually making my daughter watch the old VHS tapes of the ones I had while going up.
I am currently working on the "Bespin Bin" as one of my friends named it. An ESB themed work station (started as just a new trashcan for work, turned into an entire workstation). I hope to start a thread of this soon.. Wanting to wait until I have a few more photos of the in progress..

Just to say in advance it may not be replicas from the films, but they feel it..

Thanks again and may the Force be with you...

Hi, everybody!

My journey into cosplay and props started about three years ago when my wife suggested that we dress up as a family for Halloween. After that, I was hooked!

Since then, I've built a variety of things (mostly Star Wars related), and I love the new challenges with each project.

Here are a few recent projects:

Looking forward to the conversations!

Hey all. I'm Mer and I do about 1-2 costumes a year. I was recommended this site by a friend because I'm having some problems with making something. I'm moving into a Star Wars direction with my costumes and away from steam punk.

Hello all

I'm Roland, as far as props go I'm interested in small items used in films that I think are cool mostly hand props, I'm not really into costumes but I like seeing other people's work on them. My true interest lies in firearms used in movies and I'm currently on the quest to make Jules gun from pulp fiction, an exact live fire copy, if I can ever get that finished idk what I'll do next lol. I'm also working on a small collection of stuff from the Martian.

Hey everyone!

Hi everyone,

My name is Leslie, and I am from Newcastle, Australia.

I have been a lurker here for many years (probably 10+), also been a member of the Dewback Wing forum (does it still exist?)

Never registered for RPF until now, as back in the old days, it was much harder to become a member here :)

my main interest are lightsabers, plus some buckets as well.

currently in my collection:

Graflex 3 cell - Folmer New York version (pretty bad rusting on it though)
MPP - Larbal replica
Various Obiwan parts from various runs RPF over there years (I got via some of the Dewback members who were also active here), plus some old Romans parts
King-Sol flash (got it from back in the days when RPF thought it was the Vader ESB saber)

Licensed sabers
MR Darth Sidious
EFX Obiwan Ep2 stunt version
EFX Luke ROTJ Reveal

some pics of my Graflex, I will try to post some more pics later

Hello all,

Major Star Wars fan and father that needs to make costumes for the kids and maybe for dad too! Looking to find some kind of fabrication classes or training in the Tampa Bay area. If anyone knows of anything drop me an email.

Cheers!

Just checking in. I have been spending most my time over at The Dented Helmet working on my Boba Fett Build. But as it comes to a close. I thought I would do some research here on my future projects....

Hello Everyone!

I have been lurking on this website for years now. It all started when Weta released their first line of rayguns. I became obsessed with making my own and found out that I was way outclassed by you guys. But I was also so inspired! Wanted to Finally join so I could thank everyone here for the inspiration and the motivation to keep making, building, and never giving up on my projects. Thank you!

Greeting and Salutations!! I'm Jojo aka Scuwifpixi and I'm new here! I love making all sorts of things. I found this place after Googleing home made proton packs. My son is about to turn 5 and has gone all Ghostbusters on us, so I went looking for inspiration and ended up here. I have nearly finished his pack and thought I'd join up and post a pic of it to the thread that I found inspiration on. I have recently also made a fighter pilots costume for my hubbie and the Star Wars secret cinema, mine is a bad attempt at Leia - Boushh costume that I have been working on for a while. I have also made my son a Rocket Raccoon costume for a sci fy event. I also like to paint Nerf Guns, for steampunks. :)

Hey everyone,
I'm Ciarán from Ireland. Been a huge fan of the Rpf for ages now. I'd thought I'd join up because I want to do more building. I was going to be a prop maker when I was in Art college but settled on graphic design instead. I love making anything but find getting materials and supplies in Ireland is quite hard and expensive. Hope to be posting frequently here!

Hello everyone ive been here a few times reading posts for ideas figured it was time to join up. Ive been recently working on some fallout t51b power armour. I do have a question what forum should i post pepakura scaling questions. The big one is when scaleing armour should i scale each peice individually or ny a general size ration as one.
