Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi guys. My name is Phil and I found and joined this site when I was researching a Randy Cooper Star Destroyer that was for sale on ebay, turned out that it was built by a member here (Gunpowder) and what a fine job he has made of it. My profession is as a nurse in cardiology but I have also painted from an early age and own an art gallery in Warwick, England. (sounds grander than it is).
I am a lover of original props, mostly ships, but you usually need to have larger bank accounts than mine to get hold of them. My collection includes a 6" Rodger Young and mid scale TAC fighter, and a Return of the King academy consideration folder, all from Screen Used, 2 alien eggs from the Queen's chamber miniature (provenance uncomfirmed, though they match up exactly to one on The Prop Store's site), and a roman shield from the 1957 production of Cleopatra. I also have a short strip of film which is claimed to be one half of the overlaid double explosion of the last Tie Fighter destroyed by Han Solo when escaping The Death Star which is purported to have come from the cutting room floor. I would love to know if anyone can advise me of how to confirm either of these.
A passion that I am now revisiting as a result of that brilliant Star Destroyer of Gunpowder's is modeling, mostly sci fi, and mostly starships. I have recently completed the Moebius Seaview and trashed a Revell Enterprise kit to produce a remastered version battle damaged Constellation, which I hope to post pics of for comment. I have several kits on the to do list but have been lucky enough to acquire a David Sisson Millenium Falcon which he only partially completed. I think I shall wait until my skills are a little more honed before I start that one.
Anyway, what a smashing site, brimful of talented folk. It's great to be here, chat soon.
Phil.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hey guys,

I was just searching for original Wolverine dogtags at this moment, although I'm always looking for something authentic from movies. So I found this website and thought it'd be interesting to join.
I'm an actor and very much love putting my own stuff together.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello my name is Sarah and I just became a member here because it's awesome. Right bow I'm working on a retro space girl costume for Halloween for me and a retro robot for my husband. I found RPF while researching bubble helmets and found some great inspiration. Once I get a little progress I'll have to post something.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

:)Hello everyone! Just started cosplaying this past weekend at HeroesCon. I began a foam build last Sunday just to have something to wear with my girlfriend and it turned out okay, but not nearly what I'm hoping to achieve. I look forward to working with and getting inspiration from some of the truly amazing artists I've seen on this forum. (The build I rushed over two weeks used several current members' posts/files and I will thank them properly once I've become fully acclimated with therpf's rules/how to post.)

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Been a quiet member for about two years... I am facinated by the work that so many do here, Unversal was my favorite place in the world growing up and I was fortunate to be able to make a pilgramage half way across the country once a year or so. Had a cousin who worked on the backlot and I thought I was the coolest ten year old in the world because I would get discarded films from the cuttingroom floor. Thank you everyone for sharing your builds and collections, I enjoy looking.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi all! Sorry, this is actually my second post as I missed this post.
First off, wow! I have seen some amazing builds here my last couple days lurking! There are some seriously talented craftsmen on this board!!
I found this place while looking for tips on building an ironman mask. I created a character a few years back for some vblogging I was doing. (very simple, crudely made costume!) and I've decided to bring him back. It's just for some fun with my buddy's that now live out of state. But I decided if I'm going to bring him back (mark II???) I might as well do it right! And it seems as though I found the right place for some pointers!!
Anyways, HI!!

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello Everyone,

I am from Peoria, AZ, but am currently living in Flagstaff, AZ. I found my way to this forum after lots of searching for high quality star wars costumes. I am very interested in making my own that would be up to 501st standards. Currently I am working on a Vader using hte pepekura technique. It is slow going but i am determined. I really want ot make a high quality costume, any advice to throw my way?

Thanks for reading!

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi, everyone! I'm Chloe and I'm new here! ^.^ I first found RPF whilst looking for various Alien and District 9 props, and more recently parts of the uniform from the new Dredd film. I finally registered so I can get started on Shaw's flight suit from Prometheus. As you can probably tell I love sci-fi! I've never made a costume before so wish me luck!

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello! I am a complete novice to the RPF and to collecting/and or making of any props for myself. I was turned onto this forum by a friend who has made many replica costumes, etc. I am looking to make a Captain America costume from scratch. I have already seen alot of awesome work here and I look forward to learning from anyone who can help me out! Hopefully I can build something worthwile and return the favor.
Matt

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello RPF forums,

I've been coming here allot now but only made a account now. I'm really impressed what people are creating here. I'm not someone that makes props. I'm more interested in buying. I love watching movies and television shows. My favorite shows are: Alias, Chuck, Dexter, Fringe, Game of Thrones, Smallville and allot more.

I' really want to collect props from Dexter. But allot of the props people make here is only available for shipping within the US or Canada. I'm from The Netherlands so that's going to be a problem but maybe I can work something out with the people. From what I've seen everyone on this forum allmost everyone is nice to each other and willing to help.

So that's me on the RPF forums, thank you for reading.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi there guys, new to therpf so thought if comment here.

I'm into anything james bond, specialising in props and vehicle models (mainly props though) and enjoy a good following with my work. I've made all sorts of stuff from many different bond films, and the aim is always total screen accuracy.

Hopefully my membership here will be a good one, not sure how frequent I'll be, but hopefully it'll be a good source of info and assistance, returned of course.

Cheers for now,

J

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hey all! I'm sort of new again lol. I'm into all kinds of stuff, Star Wars, James Bond, Star Trek, SuperHero stuff, etc etc. I created an account a while back but I don't think I ever posted. I looked around a bit and then forgot about the site. While searching for prop replicas of Tony Stark's Transparent Phone, I rediscovered this site and figured I would actually introduce myself this time. So, hello!! :)

Peace and bacon grease!

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hey I'm reyman and I'm new to this forum.
I have always liked making stuff but haven't had much motivation since I stopped making toys, I hope that's going to change now as I am starting to get into prop making.

I come from a tiny country so I am probably going to be the only prop maker around and hope to make it my profession or at least something in that direction.
