Did you look at the link I posted above? I detect no groove on the shared stunt. Would there have been a difference between this and the V2?

Are you talking about the same area we're all talking about? There are defnitely grooves in the copper section:

Thanks for posting that crop. Of course there is a groove on the neck but look again at the windvane. There wouldn't be a groove there if it wasn't for many layers of paint. That's the mask line.

There's certainly some indenting due to paint layers and masking, but I also feel there is an actual groove there as well from the original lathing. The copper paint isn't thick enough to cause that much of a groove. If it were that thick, it would have filled in those dents and imperfections and seam lines everywhere else on the copper painted areas.

It's not just a mask line. It's a groove.
I'm 100% certain because it's on the master and the castings before they were painted.

You are the expert, sir.:thumbsup Didn't mean to stir the pot on this point, just wanted to make sure this project can be as spot-on as possible. Now how about some photo reference of that master? All I have is this one:
