I think Ford looks great. I can be certain though that the 'old age' remarks are sure to come. Not too fond of how the costume came out compared to the other 3 films, especially the pre-distressed hide on the jacket, but then again I'll always have Raiders. Still, the costume is not bothering me too much, especially if the movie is as kick ass as I've heard so far. Only less than a month away from the teaser trailer. WOO-HOO!

Love the hat. I dislike the jacket and the darker whip. I also would have loved to see Indy carrying a 1911, but it is still Indy and I am glad he has returned.

I agree about the jacket. BIG disappointment in terms of the look and feel compared to the originals. Looks like a mall jacket. It also looks like it might be cowhide as opposed the lamb that they used to use. Makes it look more stiff and less "authentic" or worn in.

I think Ford looks great considering. But still, if I had lived my entire life without seeing Indy as an old man, it would have been just fine. Iconic heroes shouldn't get old. For me, taking this character and showing him as obviously older/old man is a risk. I hope it works.

Ford looks good...would have been better if they dyed his hair though IMO.

Oh well, I am just worried the Transformers kid is going to be really bad in it.

Jacket is a let down for sure.

Yoyzza! The Webley Mk VI is back! - I might have to find that old mold!

They've basically retconned the character into having had always used a Webley. In the video game manual for Emperor's Tomb, set leading into the events of ToD, they talk about Indy's Webley being the gun he uses.

It does look like a mall jacket, doesn't it? :lol Yes, it is cow.

As far as the gun, I'm alot more partial to Indy using the Smith & Wesson from Raiders and TOD. No idea why they went with the Webley again. Since this is 20 years after the other films they could have given him an semi-auto and put the revolvers to bed. Still, all in all, I'm just concerned the movie is good. I'm strictly a Raiders guy so I most likely won't be getting any of the props or costume pieces from Indy 4 anyways.

MEh think of it this way. He lost the S&W's... he still has his webley from LC. He's an old guy set in his ways, he doesn't want to use that crappy 1911 style gun when he has his old faithful revolvers. :p

I'm still really upset about the kid. He's too annoying and I don't think he can pull off the rebel character. And what's up with his costume? The Schott(or some similarly styled jacket) leather jacket, the name stitched in white over the left chest, and the ringer shirt. They tried to make him look just like Brando in the "The Wild One". I hope this turns out well. But I think some things should be left alone. Look at Star Wars...

But, doesn't he actually have a 1911 in his hand for at least one or two shots in the Ravenwood Bar in ROTLA? When he's in the doorway and the ricochet almost hits him, it looks like a 1911, then by the end of the scene, back to a revolver.

I think that was a Browning Hi-Power

I'm just wondering why Dr. Jones is still wearing the same old clothes...?

Don't get me wrong - glad to see it 'cause Indy just ain't Indy without the classic outfit.

But he's either wearing some really moth-eaten old threads, or he's bought and owned a boat load of the same duds, year after year after year...

As minor as this may be, I really hope the script addresses this...

Me to just a little dye in the hair. Dont like the dark whip, but for 64 or 65 whenever point in the film thay shot at he looks good. I hope I look that good at 64/65 :unsure

aljf:eek

He looks like Indiana Jones to me. Different whip/jacket? no big deal...and I like Shia LeBeouf so I think this will be a good one.

The average movie goer won't notice the differences in the costume. I don't think anyone is going to say, "That's a cowhide jacket instead of lambskin! The whip is too dark! That's it...this movie sucks! I'm boycotting it!"

Yeah a hi power, but he didn't like it. I mean he went back to good 'ol smithy after. :D
