New Doctor Who Series Discussion *Spoilers*

I was trying to go back in my memory and think if he was citing something from an actual episode here. The closest comparison I could think of was when he was in the Matrix in Deadly Assassin which was being manipulated by the Master.

This, or maybe he's referring to the domain of Omega in The Three Doctors?

Mind Robber jumped to mind when I heard that too, but it could have been The Three Doctors or The Deadly Assassin or even The Celestial Toymaker. Could be any or all, either way, fantastic speech.

Some filming pics appeared today on Twitter

After seeing the episode again, it reminded me of the first season finale of Torchwood and how Jack got rid of Abaddon.

Let's see,

First episode: An alien force that feeds off the thoughts and fears of it's victims. Where did it come from?

Second episode: same alien force differant era, trapping the thoughts and fears of it's victims electronically.

Third episode: an alien force that feeds off the thoughts and fears of it's victims..... It is defeated and expodes, to be scattered across the universe. Was this the birth of the Great Intelligence???

There's also been a lot of "Rose" references with Clara.
Snowmen - She worked at the Rose & Crown
Snowmen - there's a rose on her grave
Asylum - She wears a Rose in her hair
Bells - she got the number from "the girl in the shop"
Bells - Doctor puts roses by her bed
Rings - The date on Clara's mother's grave (3/5/2005) is the day Rose meets #9.

Perhaps Clara is a product of the Bad Wolf.

That would be an interesting twist... :eek

Rose did destroy the Dalek Emperor. Clara was a Dalek...

Maybe the Bad Wolf set it up, knowing she would not be able to save The Doctor the next time the Daleks had him.....

Sound like a great arc, but I doubt it was intentional....

But a great arc!

I'm down with that theory because the Bad Wolf scattered the Dalek Emperor.

"I give life"

"i scatter it through time"

That would explain all the Claras.

However, you have to make a big leap there that Clara Dalek somehow survived the destruction of the asylum and rose to power as the Dalek Emperor. Not sure I'm down with that leap. yet.

If in that moment the Bad Wolf saw the Doctor's future and that he would need Clara to survive...out of the ashes of the Daleks, she brought life.

They also reused Necromonger armor from Chronicles of Riddick in the most recent episode. Doesn't mean a thing, they reuse set pieces and costumes all the time. It's a BBC budget after all.

Plus it would make the flirty subtext REALLY creepy.
