New Doctor Who Series Discussion *Spoilers*

Speaking of Rory, I find it unbelievable that someone who spent 2000 years in solitude guarding a box would not have a completely different, if indeed not irrevocably disturbed, personality by the end. There is no picking up where you left off after that.

(and if you're about to say "and being made out if plastic is?", I would agree with you. I've never bought the Autons at all. Stupid concept.)

I'm wondering if Moffat is having a play on words this season:
"Good Man" could refer to Rory and/or the Doctor
"Doctor" could refer to the Doctor and/or River Song

I really think Moffat is in complete control of his plan. I mean, River mentioned the crash of the Byzantium back in the Library. Who does that???

Unrelated, this is the rhyme the dolls sang in Night Terrors:

Tick tock goes the clock
And what now shall we play?
Tick tock goes the clock
Now summer's gone away?

Tick tock goes the clock
And what then shall we see?
Tick tock until the day
That thou shalt marry me

Tick tock goes the clock
And all the years they fly
Tick tock and all too soon
You and I must die

Tick tock goes the clock
He cradled her and he rocked her
Tick tock goes the clock
Even for the Doctor..

Rory-the-auton (and the reset universe) was based on Amy's memories, and I doubt she'd have been thinking of a bitter, twisted Rory.

They also mentioned the Shadow Proclamation very early in the series and it wasn't until nearly the end of Tennant's period before we actually found out what it was. They drop names, places, terms in the series and someone goes back and backfills what it is later all the time. It doesn't mean there was a grand plan. Don't confuse shoehorned explanations for a plan.

I didn't say he wouldn't be motivated to do it, I said he would be drastically changed by it.

But if Amy hit some magic reset button, I'll accept that.

All comments being read, I agree that Amy is cool, Rory rocks (I always loved multiple companions, the dynamic is way different - and now married multiple companions, made of win!) and River's storyline was a bit - truncated. I am hoping there will be much more.

Started with Pertwee, BTW, and watched steadily till McCoy, who I just couldn't grok. I've been on board since the first Eccleston. (sp? :) ) Still loving the Doctor!

I wonder if the stories are so group centric because they are worried no one can fly solo like Daveyboy did? You know, the guy that used to have the job but got out while he was on top? BTW, for the three or four of you that didn't know 10 married the daughter of 5 and they made him a Grandfather...again.
:lolso the Doctor married his daughter so to speak.

Actually, she's going to leave him in about 4 years and is the future Mrs. Rollerboi. Nobody tell her, let's not ruin the surprise. :lol
