Looks like something different from the Modern Warfare series. I'm excited for anything Call of Duty.... Its going to be released 11-09-10... just saw this for pre-order on amazon. Thought I'd share the news :):thumbsup

I'll be honest, that trailer really didn't do anything for me. I never picked up WAW, and I'm glad I didn't. It's a shame Infinity Ward won't be doing any more COD games. :cry

The trailer didn't do anything for me as well, but it's a COD game so I'll get it no matter what. I've bought every game since the first one was released.

I liked WAW campaign. I though it was too short but I liked it just the same. The multiplayer was good until all the glitches showed up. It was so buggy that it wasn't fun at all after a while.
The trailer for BO doesn't show me anything but some pretty clips from cut scenes. I don't believe I saw any game play in there, so I can't really get excited. I did see that the WAW peeps are making it, so that makes me think I'll be renting it.

I'm with ya Rabbit. Probably stick with MW2 for a long while. Almost ready to push the button again.

I agree with most....tailer doesnt do it for me.

The only prospect it might have is since its Treyarch, it may have a zombie like level (possibly aliens, since that rumor was a huge buzz in MW2) with almost modern weapons.

ill get it, me and my friends spend alot of time playin the COD games so I get my moneys worth. I also hope they have some type of ZOMBIE/ALIEN game type. And treyarch was better at patching glitches than IW. So im lookin forward to this and I will get it on day 1.

slightly off topic but do you think cod 1 united offensive still has servers?

i really miss this game, especially the tanks and jeeps

i was planning installing it but wont if no one plays online anymore

:lol I actually installed about 9 months ago or so, and surprisingly, there were still servers.. Now I got into CoD 4, after not playing it since it came out, was playing CoD WaW for ages and decided I wanted abit of a change.. But there was no way I was paying that price for a SP game due to no dedicated servers..

of course I'll get it
and then be disappointed like I was with WAW
I still haven't played a campaign mission on WAW or MW2

You haven't played the campaign of MW2 yet? ಠ_ಠ

"Ramirez, get this man a controller!" (ya, you'll hear stuff like that a lot in the campaign. The campaign is really good. It's short, but nothing feels dragged at all.

It's not like the successor company to Infinity Ward isn't going to make its own FPS games. So, it won't have the "Call of Duty" trademark name, but the content will be the same style/quality.

Great thing about Call of Duty as a series: unlike other series with actual characters that continue from game to game, you can always just start over with the same exact kind of gameplay, but without "Call of Duty" in the title. I mean, literally, you could have a functionally identical game (several small campaigns focusing on individual soldiers in a given war, ride-on-rails gameplay, and standard MP action), and call it...say..."Honor and Valor" or something. I mean, aside from the multiple-factions-point-of-view thing, there was never much difference between Call of Duty and Medal of Honor in terms of gameplay. So, there's no real reason why you couldn't do the same kind of thing in a new game.

After all, it's the creative team that made those games good, not the title of the games.

I'm pumped for this one, I loved WaW till it became a glitch fest, then MW2 was fun till it started ****ing with my blu ray drive. So I went back to WaW and I'm having a blast. Too many Juggernauts for my liking but I just have fun using the Mosin Nagant with Iron sights. I can still land 15-20 kills match with it.

Anyway, I'll buy anything Call of Duty..

And so we see, once again, the power of BRANDING. Content doesn't matter when the brand itself is what sells.

anyone else picking it up at midnight? I have reserved at a local game store that is opening at midnight for eager beavers.

debating whether to or not.

Am I that hardcore? I'm in my thirties - should I be doing that kind of stuff now?!

Not with everyone, Solo. I am waiting on BF: Viet Nam. I won't be buying another CoD game. I was unimpressed with WaW, so I won't be buying another Treyarch game either. (Sorry SpyderDan)
