Haven't seen this posted anywhere, apologies if I've missed it.

Factory Entertainment have revealed their next batch of studio scale Star Trek ships:

the Enterprise-E FE Masterworks - Star Trek | U.S.S. ENTERPRISE NCC-1701-E

Reliant FE Masterworks - Star Trek | U.S.S. Reliant NCC-1864

Voyager FE Masterworks - Star Trek | U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656

and the Shrike from S3 of Picard (weird choice that last one) FE Masterworks - Star Trek | Shrike

As with the first batch, they're obviously very nice but imho still come nowhere near justifying their exorbitant prices ($20,000 for the Enterprise!), given the preponderance of imperfections all over them. These are photos of the prototypes, so maybe the final products will be superior, but for that kind of money I think it's only fair to demand perfection.

The prices are absolutely ridiculous! there are a ton of very skilled model makers out there that would do commissions for less that half that price.
From what i've seen of their actual builds it'll be far from perfection.

I just watched the Tested video showing their Voyager, and the quality is abysmally poor. For $18000 it should be damn perfect, but the build is full of errors.

Hey they spent a ton on that website, with the fancy zooming thumbnails. They have to recoup that somehow, ; )

I'm not a modeller but I adore models.

I am sure I don't have the eye that serious builders do but I was a little shocked at some of the things I was seeing with these models. Sloppy paintwork, jagged edges, poorly cut windows. I would never pay the money these retail for but the quality does not even come close to justifying the asking figures.

I'd have to guess that a significant chunk of that cost is licensing, which they likely have if they are having William Shatner involved. Still, $15K USD for a 1/350 scale model is fairly excessive. Especially given that I have a 350 scale Enterprise on my shelf and it cost me about $150 CAD.

Their "builds" are still covered in dents, dust, hairs, misaligned decals, screw heads, and more. Poor quailty for a high price. No thank you. Carpe Diem.
