looks like they removed the ring around the arc reactor on the mk 42, thats the only difference i can spot from the pic.

So Thor's costume is pretty the same from The Dark World

pretty much, there's a couple details different, like the rondels have that hyphen looking pattern on them instead of the scrollwork, but the design from The Dark World was my favorite

I found a higher res version of these pics and Thor still has some sort of scroll work just inside the dashes on the rondels. Also, the dashes were taken from Thor's Avengers costume.

So, they are mashing up the designs from the various movies for all the characters, it seems.

he has new pants that have a similar design to the metal sleeves he wears

Well, my internet surfing has lead me to a new copy of the costume rack picture in super high resolution. It absolutely shows scroll work on Thor's costume, and shows the texture really clearly on Cap's costume.
