Any pics from the con?
Looks like the one in the picture being 3D scanned to me. Not surprised as each of the filming props were hand made, so differences would be there.
:facepalm It was only a matter of time.
Checked it out at the con today, holy ****ing crap this thing is amazing. Before I get into that, their factory couldn't manufacture the molded handle in time for the con, so the crackle on that handle is painted by Nick Robatto. That's the only change they'll be making between the one currently pictured and the final product.
So basically this thing is a beautiful, somewhat idealized version of the prop, physically speaking. There are a couple tweaks to fit the electronics for the remote, but it's mostly intact. Now here's the awesome part: FX mode. It functions exactly as it should. Push the button, light and sound. BUT it also has a ton of other functions including multiple different sonic sounds and a proximity sensor type sonar beep setting, which is pretty awesome to see. Hands down the best Who merch ever released.
You asked, I told you! So slap your face as much as you like Sir! As I said I like some of the mods on this (no screws, silver slider plug) but hope they don't over tweak it before it gets to the shops. Its a great price.
I don't see one line of proof in this comment, other than the changes they have already posted on their website. Are you arguing that they have made changes that they have already said they have said that they did on their website? Or will this turn into another "This Tennant sonic sucks...thread"?
I wonder if the classic sonic will be the next version to be tackled? That surely would be as cheap as chips price-wise?![]()
You would think so. And loads of space compared to the 10. :thumbsup
The100% screen accurate junkies will, and have gone elsewhere. But *for a back-up, TV remote or cheaper alternate to carry about *others will buy this excellent valued version from the Wand Company. *Oh and nice box!*
