Nerf Aliens Pulse Rifle Build

who said inbuilt motion tracker?

Ridiculous.

And I mean "ridiculous" as in "That movie Aliens is so good, it's ridiculous."

I've been drooling over pulse rifles for decades (can that actually be true?), seen many versions and variants, but that is the first one of those, like that, I've ever seen.

Ridiculously awesome.

I am building a mount to attach to yhen pulse rifle that works like a flip out screen from a video camera and will hold my ipod touch and I will load the app for the motion tracker

at this rate i will add far more to my list of "things one really ought to do for oneself" than i can actually handle.

very ingenious way of using nerf guns and it looks better than some of the airsoft kits i have seen.

kudos.

Anyone interested in a mounted motion detector
I was planning on something like this then I found it on deviant too

Yeah I'm working on a scout version (my mp5 snubnose) with a top rail system, scope and flip out MT but not from the magwell instead the handle area. I'm using and old cell phone, an LG GD510 touch screen but no android or ios so it'll have to be running a gif or looping video

Here's a better view of the motion tracker fitted to the gun.
I feel that USCM would adopt this solution to avoid swapping between units when on bug hunts!

Depending on how I approach it. Either a lcd screen with playback or a smartphone mount with an app

I'm going to get a bit geeky here, but the PR-mounted motion detector would actually have to be a remotely-fed monitor, right? Because even in Aliens, the motion tracker itself was still a pretty substantial piece of equipment, and a sensitive one at that. I'm not sure the circuitry could withstand the vibration sustained from an active pulse rifle.

OK, I punched the geek in me and I'm back to totally digging this thing!

Sensitive yes, so lots of jiggling about might disrupt its accuracy somewhat (not that you would need it if your having to fire at a zenomorph mind you), but I'm pretty sure it would have been made at least squadie proof before handing over a piece of tech like that to be used in the field.........damn! I'm doing it now :behave

Not a bad size for 3w, they should be easy enough to find stash places for. I'm tempted to locate it near the front as that's where the sound would come from normally, but it will depend on overall loadness as I'm aiming for quality over volume.

Sweeeeet! canobi! Awesome work. Now here's mine. I finally did the mounted motion tracker for now its just a static view but once funds are higher it will be functional

Paint still needs touch ups but it came along nicely for what I had lying around
