Thanks everyone. Hrmm well My ranger helmet has a few different looks, The one that is actually in the game is different from the one on the cover, and there is a few concept drawings of it. I picked one from concept because I already had a helmet.

Instead of using a fiberglass liner, I vaccuformed over a full sized helmet only due to my experience around star wars helmets and remembered that those helmets are huge, and I didn't want my helmet to be to small.

all the rest is found parts, a router antenna on the side, and a $1 flashlight. I printed off the mask unfolded by Hugh Holder 4shared.com - free file sharing and storage Same as the one Kommisar used in his build

Put it together with random plastic left over from the vaccuform goofs, since it was my first time with it I had alot of screw ups. I used resin inside to strengthen the helmet, used mats also. Since the pepakura pattern for the side peices would not fit my helmet I took paper and made my own based off the drawings. I bolted the mask to the helmet painted it and put a few fans inside.

hey nice going on this build man, it looks great. and thanks for the comment on mine. i was watching this build for a while back when i wasnt registered so i lost track of it. but it came out really well.

That's some great armor. Any pointers on making Boone armor?

I love it!
Please tell me everything about the coat!
Did you buy a pattern for it, what kind of fabric did you use, how long and hard was it to sew and do you have any previous sewing experience?
Much appreciated!

Thanks guys I appreciate the compliments.

Well the garb Boones wearing can be copied with actual military gear. Only problem is it's last century militaria, and can get kind of expensive, like this http://www.gd-wholesale.com/userimg/1/3483i1/wwii-german-luftwaffe-tropical-tunic-jacket-205.jpg The pouches are canvas are a tan/green color, they are still around. the rest you should be able to find easily. This thread will help with the chest armor and rig.

As for the coat I had a bit of a problem with the first one and used a pattern, Unfortunately the Ranger isn't wearing a trench coat, it's a riding duster and does not have any extra material around the back that gathers, so I had to buy very cheap thin material and make my own. I traced the thin material on to painters tarp canvas.Walmart.com: Trimaco 4' X 15' Premium Cotton Canvas Drop Cloths 56708: Paint & Home Decor Again this is 100% cotton and will shrink a lot so make sure you preshrink and dye it before doing anything. I then made another mistake of not preshrinking the material so it's a good thing I made it way to big for me, I knew it would shrink but not 15%.

It was basically a trial and error thing with the length and the mantle and collar. I put plastic screen in the collar to hold sort of a shape, although it was just to difficeult to keep it strait up so I didn't bother. I then weathered it, added real bullet and shotgun holes and dirtied it up by dragging it behind a car and then leaving it out in the sun so it would get sun bleached. Oh, and sprayed it with weatherguard in a can to make it waterproof.

This is in no way proportianate to each other or in scale with one another, but it's a rough outline of what I did. you will have to measure for armpits and neck etc. to sew the sides. If you do make one, make sure you make it to big to begin with, because you can always fix to big, you can't fix to small. Hope this helps.

Re: NCR Veteran Ranger -A work in progress-[New Pictures]

That looks really good man. Would you think of producing more six guns for people who want one?

I have a flawed casting left, I made them for people until the mold broke, and the original gun got lost.
