Nazi Zombie Halloween costume WIP

Just started work on my costume for this year - Nazi zombie. But instead of the Dead Snow version I've done before, I decided to make this one a little different, more decayed and aged as if I had been in the ground for 70 years and just came out.
So I've started by rusting/aging the metal parts; helmet, weapons etc. I have another thread where I showed this paint system I found that creates rust overnight on any material, so that is what I've used here, along with a little distressing of my own.


I've also started sculpting part of the facial appliance for the zombie makeup. Still have a lot of work on this part.



Still deciding what I'm going to do for the uniform part, but I'll post pics of future progress.

Pretty cool. It has a double creepiness factor. I love the uniforms but unless I was standing right next to the Arc, I would feel odd dressing as a Nazi.

Funny story, I was making my Hurt Locker "turtle" suits for me and my buddies for Halloween. I only told them that it was costumes from the best movie of the year...everyone expected Avatar, but my one buddy was worried that it was going to be Inglorious bastards.

Yeh, I've been hassled a few times as Dead Snow's Colonel Herzog, but with this one, with the amount of distressing I'll be doing, any Nazi emblems will be much less noticeable. And actually, it'll be more of wehrmacht zombie, but because of movies and video games, everyone considers them all Nazis.
