Paragon FX Elite Blaster Repaint

I've had my Paragon FX blaster sitting in a drawer for some time now, and maybe a month ago, I noticed the paint on this part started to un-cure? The paint had gone slightly sticky/gummy. Not sure if it reacted to the fabric it was laying on, or if it was an issue present when I got my blaster. All the other painted parts are fine. I wiped away most of the sticky parts with acetone, but now I'm looking for some way to restore it.

This week, I tried a couple coats of Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch in gloss black, but it wasn't the same, so I removed that. I really like resilience of the paint that was on here, does anyone know what I can do? (I'd also be happy to commission anyone who has the resources to repaint it.)

Having moved hundreds of these, never heard of this one. Had to have been a reaction with something it touched. The finish is identical to the other Tomenosuke blasters. The "cure" of a paint doesn't just chemically reverse itself; it would more-so have to have been interrupted or disturbed during or after the fact. I'd stay away from the paint and primer combo ( Painter's Touch) and just try the regular gloss. Fortunately, you've got a relatively small piece there, should be able to get a good rattle-can finish on.(y)
