Sure but then you gotta pay them also which drives up the price. A member here has shown interest in laser cutting the pieces for the folks in the states. As soon as the finished files are ready he will look at them and make his decision as to if and how much he will do them for. Now if I ship 20 resin kits to him with 20 armatures that is gonna cost me a packet and he then has to box up and send again onto you. He ain't gonna do that for free. So when I get everything together, I'll have a better idea of shipping. If your happy with that I'll send a you a complete kit. If not you will receive the resin, armature and plaque etc from me and the acrylic from them.

The kit will be reasonably priced..... But I'll let you decide when the time comes. Some will no doubt drop from the interest list as the price may not suit them. At the moment this is an RPF Exclusive... Once orders are filled here I will offer it on other forums. No money will be taken until the order is ready to ship.

While Martyn continues his great work on the engines, I have added the 3 trim pieces that run between the engine mounts and also the engine mounts to the mid section across the bottom of the ship to the model:

I'm hoping to add these to the prototype in the next day or too...

So.... In trying to make things easier for you guy's I seem to be making it difficult for myself but once I get a bee in my bonnet....ya know. So knowing you guy's like to use the panavise mount for your models I figured let's go with that route. Well ... I found a plug/insert for the armature bit they dont do them in Imperial dammit!!! And we need the 1/4 inch thread. Now I think I found some in the US but the damn tubing is in imperial and our tubing as per the original is 20mm x 20mm with a 1.6 inside measurement. So I need a metric insert with an imperial thread... **** it!!!!

Anyone know a good online source for adapters? Needs to be 1/4' female to either M6, 8 , or 10 Male.

Had a spare couple of hours, so I converted the trim pieces from virtual parts to physical, and fitted them to the prototype.

That pretty much takes care of the layout for the underside (apart from the nose and the kit parts).

@Simon, why no just go all metric? Be done with the old and move on. So long as the male/female threads match, noone will care. It's not like people mix and match stands (unless they do...)

@Paul, looking better and better all the time. Will only look even better once it's on my work space!

Cheers Lee. It's all starting to come together now!

I can't wait to see what guys like yourself do with this kit.

The prototype looks wonderful!!

Simon, honestly, keeping it metric is fine with me, if that counts for anything (LOL). I prefer using metric because ten-base is logical... damn Imperial system, lol. I think I'm going to mount the model to the wall, and I'll have to either get something machined, or custom fit any way. So knowing that I'll be using metric threading is fine, especially since nothing has been made, stand-wise.

If THAT many people want to use a Panavise, we can get adapters machined that will bridge the metric threading to 1/4-20. Something similar was done for the X-wing armatures we made... and it was a good thing, as the Panavise threading would not have reached far enough into the model to grab onto the threads on the armature!

Dang, Paul, that's looking so good.

Sorry to go dark for a bit, been up late nights trying to get a good solution with the upper engines. Harder than you'd think - there's any number of 'near enough' solutions but only one right one. (Not that it is perfect yet, but we're closer than 'near enough'.)

Anyway, should be getting the upper engines into the 3D print queue in the next couple of days, hopefully. Paul deserves credit here as we've been working on this pretty closely. Where we've been making tweaks on the structure they've been in the ranges of 3-8mm, the whole thing was pretty good right from the off!
