N7 Helmet from Mass Effect build WIP

I can attest to the quality of that tutorial. I've been using it with the Collector rifle build and it's working great!

Yeah, I pointed out that there was problem with the colored paper model a couple of posts back. I wasn't aware of it until another user in another Mass Effect 2 costume post pointed it out to me.
 
I actually got the color PDF to work fine, it asks for the password both with un-raring and opening the PDF.

That's odd. When I tried the RAR for the colored paper model, it kept asking me where to find the RAR files, not even asking for a password. Weirder and weirder.
 
OK I tried but it doesn't like the password protection, It lets me in with my company's account, but not as an outsider even with correct sharing privileges. I don't have the time to start a whole new one for this, but if anybody wants to tackle this, I can email it out. But if you ask for it you need to make it available, so I don't get stuck emailing it to everybody.

I've uploaded it to my google docs account. Just follow the link and you should be able to access it. As an added bonus, I've removed the security from it (no more password).

Awesome! You're my hero :love

Dumb question though for a beginner - are there "instructions" to fold out or do you wing it? I've read a few tutorials on pep, but always wondered how one knew what to connect where after the pieces were folded.

If you're using Pepakura, you usually have the Pepakura on you computer where you can see where all the pieces are connected to. If not, in the chase you're using a PDF, normally the have numbers so you just connect the numbers. If it doesn't has the numbers, you're lost.
 
There aren't any folding instructions on this one, though after review it seems mostly straight forward. Knowing where to combine the pieces is going to be the fun bit (and by fun I mean PITA).

This page at least has all of the part numbers and where to put everything once you have the individual pieces put together.

I have stalled out on this, I have a couple of other Mass Effect things that I am working on, but I really need to get back to this one. I have most of the helmet finished except the "wings" on the back and the breather mask, but I may just mold it without the breather and do that later.

I was hoping for more photos, Mass Effect is one of my favorite games, and like someone else said, they have some awesome toys!
