There is no way I will be parting with her lol.:lol Ive waited around 21 years for one of these lol lol

Strange thing is.........
the advertising picture for the gun on frontier models doesnt have as much detail :confused. and the box I recieved the laser in is different. Ive been looking for comparisins on the net, and from what ive found, mine looks very much like V The Final battle version. its a good solid resin and quite heavy, not the sort of thing you would want to drop lol.

Soon after I placed my order I started searching to find more pictures of the fully built version, I found quite a few different designs, including the undersized toy version. which I was almost sure I had ordered lol. But when it arrived today, I was happy to find it wasnt lol.

Frontier Models gets stock from the Cool Models/Arsenal Models...the biggest recasters in the U.S.

Below is a photo from a CoolModels auction.

As some of you know, Cool Models has recast several props made by members here and you will find many of those same recasts at Frontier.

Something to consider when you can get a copy of some of those props from the original maker.

WOW I didnt realise that some members here helped produce this model..cool.:eek

Yep thats my model, in unfinished form.

they have done a fantastic job, the cast has all the features that the Series version has.

That's not what I said.

They deserve no praise for this. After all, they didn't do the original sculpt and making a mold isn't really that difficult. If a person makes a color photo copy of a Van Gogh do you give credit to Van Gogh or the guy who photo copied Van Goghs work? Regardless, recasters and their resellers should not be supported.

It is not my intention to begin a thread that results in yet another detailed discussion on recasting. Muskra, you may want to do an RPF search on CoolModels and read more about why what they are doing is wrong. I am aware of 10 different props that were originally fan produced(there may be more that I'm not aware of) and CoolModels had recast them.

They are an abomination to the craft.

Just a heads up that is meant well as you are new to this board.

BTW, welcome to the RPF. You will find many truely talented people here. Some of the work you will see here is mind boggling when you consider some of it is being done by private individuals.
