My Styrene Pepakura Ironman helmet

nice work but by any chance can you make a batman mask, also did you vacum for it?

Unfortunately I won't be starting any new projects any time soon. I've got too many half finished projects I would like to complete first.

Here's a taste of what's still waiting to be finished minus the biker scout helmet :

As explained by Canobi the whole master model was made out of 0.5mm, 1mm and 2mm Styrene card stock. No vacuum forming involved. Just a lot of elbow grease.:wacko

Lies, it is made with sorcery.

Looking back, it kinda does feel like that. :devil

man this iron man helmet is stunning !!!
its really hard to get a symmetric prop by hand but your helmet is so flawless it look 3d printed !!!!
really awesome !!

I just wanted to also compliment your mold-making skills. I will definitely be trying to mimic your techniques for my own projects.

Firstly, awesome awesome build. That is amazing.

Secondly great to see a fellow South African on here.
In place of Bondo, I just use body filler from Builders Warehouse. Works like a charm.
Starting my next Iron Man helmet at the mo and will use the same.

Apologies for only replying to your posts now.

Question how do you print or export the file with no glue tabs?

In Pepakura Designer click on "2D Menu" scroll down to "Show flaps" and uncheck.

did u make them for sale?

Sorry. Not at the moment but definitely thinking about casting a couple for interested members.

I got the files exported the way I want them. I am waiting on my plastic so I can run it through my laser cutter :)

I hate cutting paper and styrene with a passion.

Those moulds... hot damn that is probably the best way I've seen to mould a helmet! definitely doing that if I ever have to mould again
