My Lifesized Homemade Chucky

So awesome man! I love this version of Chucky.

I had a BoC doll for a long time that used to hang out on the guest bed, no idea what happend to him when I moved a few years back. I have a sneaking suspicion he either ran off or my mother in law finally did him in, as she hated sharing the room with him when she'd visit lol.

hey guys, my apologies It's been awhile . I have some progress pics. I'm now officially done piecing him together. The ball joints were a bust. They worked perfectly but after numerous attempts of remaking them they just made his shoulders too broad and arms too long and heavy. I was left with functionality or being visually accurate and since he will be a display rather than a doll to play with lol.. I chose to disregard them.

Tomorrow I'm going to take out the airbrush and paint his torso and upper arms. This weekend I can finally start on the clothes. My glock replica arrived and I will have to remove the trigger to give his trigger finger a place to rest and of course paint the gun.

I'm also in search of a knife replica. I'd prefer to use a safe fake one. If anyone knows where to buy them - any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you, I have not unfortunately. There's a halloween costume but the colors and stripes are too far off. I will have to make my own using dye and an airbrush

For now I'm not. At least not until I do another sculpt of his head. the molding process wasn't perfect. The seam is visible where the two piece mold came together. I don't think It's fair to anyone If I sold copies that I didn't feel were absolutely perfect.

I plan to use oven bake sculpey this time. That way if any mistakes happen during molding I can reuse the sculpt.

Yes Then It's back to the drawing board with the head. I'd like to have a permanent copy anyways. Molds don't last forever. I plan on making 3 copies. A child's play 1 version and a copy of this one - I'm waiting for the new curse film to come out and I'll make a curse of chucky version depending on how good his new look Is.

It is intact yes. But there are imperfections where the mold comes together. SO each time I make a cast the seams are visible. It's not too bad but not good enough to sell to a paying customer in my opinion.

Look at getting some Smooth On resin and you can pour the mold up with the resin and blend the seam. Very easy to do and resin is easy to work with.

Thanks! I've never worked with resin before, there wouldn't be any issues with the resin and ultra cal plaster? Would I need a releasing agent?

I meant with pouring the mold up. I don't think you need a release agent and it shouldn't affect the mold in any way.
