Jacket looks great dude - once you've swapped out the buttons and elbow patches it'll be a winner. Have fun and enjoy it!

looked at the pictures and thought damn except for the patches that looks good. I didn't even notice the buttons at first! It's great the Indy is working with you on what you want fixed, but try not to let people online influence wether or not you are happy with your item.

None of us in costume are going to be 100% accurate because none of us are Matt.

I appreciate the feedback, but in fairness to the problem areas mentioned, there are some things that can be fixed and I am grateful for soemone as great with customers service as Magnoli.

I think it looks great and while it has some inaccuracies, I am confident that Magnoli will take care of them. He made good on my Holmes Frock and his customer service has always been top notch. Look forward to seeing the altered blazer

Finally was able to raise the funds to make a last-minute purchase of the G-Star Blade jeans from Amazon and have them shipped one-day so I have them in time for Katsucon this weekend!
This was an unexpected purchase - I was planning on wearing my JC Penny slim jeans as pictured in this thread - but of course with my new tweed I was really itching to get the accurate jeans.
I also have a bar of that "Otter Wax" for fabric.

I received my G-Star "Raw" crushed black jeans today - thanks to Amazon for speedy one-day delivery, now I have them in time for Katsucon.
I tried some of that "Otter Wax" on the jeans, but found I was not happy with the look (I only did a portion to test) so I immediately washed it out.
It's all good though - it's been confirmed that Smith does wear the crushed black jeans on-screen anyway, so it's still accurate to the show.

Here are some pics from Katsucon this past weekend.
Joining me were RPF members Terrasolo and Bootleger137 - (10 Doctor and Captain Jack Harkness) thanks guys for a great time - and luckly, NO ONE had anything to say about the problem areas with my jacket - as a matter of fact, I was the ONLY Eleventh there that had a screen-quality costume!

I am wearing custom modded boots I purchased from an Ebay seller in Asia. The tops were cut off and replaced with the new "layered" leather upper.
Before and after pics of the boots can be seen earlier in this thread...

Ah yes they really do look the part, really accurate to be honest but those are the S5 boots that I remember you modding. I was wondering about the S6 boots. You have everything else accurate just thought you would want to finish the whole thing off.

Let me know what you have for the Series 6 boots. I'm actually quite fond of the S5 boots, especially my replicas which have really grown on me and worn in nicely.

Tweed is going back to Magnoli this coming week for revisions - I've got a detailed packet of info/photos to send along with it.
In the meantime, I've been focusing on getting the additional S6 shirts I don't have.
I currently have a really nice "close enough" checkered shirt that I got from JC Penny on clearence. This is the one I wore to Katsucon.
I just watched all the DW Confidentials to make a list of all the shirt/bowtie combos during the series:

In WEDDING OF RIVER SONG there is no Utah/Aztec combo. Its the Utah Shirt / Blue Denim Tie [for the fake Doctor] and the Blue Shirt / Burgundy Tie [for the real Doctor] with the Check Shirt / Blue Aztec Tie for the final scene.

THE DOCTOR THE WIDOW AND THE WARDROBE:
Check Shirt / Burgundy Tie


The most often worn shirt is the check shirt and the most often used tie is a burgundy tie. They are also the combo most often worn together. There were really two styles of burgundy tie. One a real tie [that has to be knotted] more often they used one that fastens with a hook.
Two possible combos have never been used so far - the Blue shirt with Blue Aztec tie and the Check shirt with Blue Denim Tie.
