"My Dinner With Andre" (1981)

With all of the props posted about "MARVEL" this and "STAR WARS" that, I thought I'd attempt to throw a little bit of class and refinement into the mix by posting a newly acquired prop from that 1981 film-classic, (no...not RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK), "My Dinner With Andre"!!! That's right folks! It's the vintage mid-century wicker wine-basket that's featured prominently throughout most of the film. Autographed by Mr. Andre Gregory HIMSELF!!! (Well, no. Actually, that last part's not true...but it IS the basket!)

By the way, please feel free to post all of your treasured props from this landmark film in this thread also!

Ya know, it's kind of funny, but Wallace Shawn actually says that in this movie! (A couple of times, if I'm not mistaken.) I was kind of surprised when I first heard him say it outside of the context of THE PRINCESS BRIDE. It makes me wonder if it's sort of his 'catch-phrase' that he somehow tries to work into all of his movies. Sort of like Schwarzenegger saying "I'll be back". :lol
