Just got a new camera and wanted to play with it, so I figured I'd snap a pic of the cheapo Hasbro blaster I recently finished. How'd I do?

Nice! :thumbsup

I have one of those myself but haven't got around to painting it.

Did you replace the clear part on the singlepoint scope...?

Nice job sanding off that SW logo and filling it in well.

Did you take the cap off before you panted it? Or can you still see the blue/green when you look into the scope?

Very nice! I normally don't like "toy" blasters but that one rocks!

:thumbsup
Holy crap! Thats better than many resin versions I've seen!

Thanks Guys!

Yeah, getting rid of the logo was a pain. Lots of glazing putty there. The worst part was chopping off the bulge on the grip where the batter compartment was and rebuilding it.

No, I couldn't get the cap off. Tried everything. Still a bit of green to be seen from the wrong angles but since this is just going on my wall, I didn't worry about it. I do have a hairspray cap that's the right size/shape that I could use if I ever decide that the green offends :)

Very nice job! I thought of doing the same thing when I saw them in the store, I wonder if the other blasters out there would look as good if they were repainted?

Well the Stormtrooper blaster's been done again and again with mixed results. The Greivous (sp?) Blaster looks pretty close to me, and the clone blaster's barrel is way too narrow. I'm working on beefing up a clone blaster though.

Good job! I did one back in the summer for my DST costume. They look really nice painted correctly.

Yeah, I was originally just gonna sand off the logo and paint it but that lump on the grip was just too ugly to let live

Edit: Forgot to thank you guys for the compliments :)

Looks like he did. I did on mine. I just pulled it into the ****** position, cut it off with a Dremel, pulled the trigger to put it in place and then sealed and sanded the hole.

this is definitely one of my favorite toys... it's a really great sculpt overall, and cleans up real well. nice work!

I just cut the cocking lever off and glued the trigger into the depressed position. I wanted it to be completely static like the resin ANH stunts (my favorite version)

That looks great, I bought two of those dart guns the other day, and haven't had the time to paint them up yet :confused

haha sorry i sometimes mess up my p's and b's dunno why, but thanks man, cause the one on mine is really bothering me
