When I look at your suit, the first image that pops up in my head is the amazing fantasy issue, and also amazing spider-man comics after issue 300 or so when they comic drawing style gets changed.
Fantastic suit man! Great work

As for the video, it was a bit touching. Watching you play with your nephew put a smile on my face. :)

Thanks guys, we made it to 78 likes at this point, but 2 other contestents still have 100+ likes ahead of me..
It's not that big, I'm sure we can make it !

Here's some tiny update. I tried painting the sole with the paint I bought but it didn't bond to it. So I first painted 2 layers of black acrylic paint and saw that even that didn't dried properly.
So I had to use some universale primer called Gesso, cover the sole with 3 coats and then, started to paint it red.
Here's the first coat drying.

Few more and it should turns into a pretty shiny red, a tad lighter than the suit I guess. Stay tunned.

And don't forget, help me get to the top fellas !

Well guys, the constest I entered ended few days ago and unfortunately, I didn"t make it..
The winner was a poorly made video that was posted one day before the end and got over 6300 likes while the video was only seen 69 times on YouTube..
The contestent used FaceBook exchange likes and votes groups to get so much likes and Sony said they couldn't do anything about it, they actually told me to do the same and that the content and quality of the video didn't mattered..
I'm so pissed right now to miss this trip as honestly, considering the others contestents videos, I should of have win..

Anyway, thanks to all of you guys who supported me. I still got my loving suit even if I didn't get the trip to NY :)
I bought my tickets for the premiere of TASM2 in France with the cast crew and will definitely get my Jansport backpack from the first movie signed.

I like to glance back and forth to this build, I can't get over the fact how awesome this is. Question, how'd you go about making the suits templates? Shown on the first page? The outline of what a photoshop pattern file would look like. Curious on how you did that, looking to make an ASM2 suit similar to this build.

Thanks man :)

I used this pic provided by TheNickFox of his Raimi pattern. Most prints use this pattern but going along with my build, I fount I still had to do a lot of modifications to make it fit my body perfectly.
It's a good pattern to start but if you make your build from scratch using it, you'll definitely have to do some tweeks here and here.

I traced the outlines using photoshop, scaled it to my size and then printed it.
Kenlandrum actually has a thread where he provides the file for his Raimi's print for free (awesome of him).
It will definitely help you with your build and all of us for future projects :)

Hey guys, just some quick udaptes.
I went to the Premiere in France yesterday and it was amazing !
I won't be talking about the movie, but as a Spidey fan, I can say that I wasn't disapointed.
Anyway, the whole cast was there and I went fully suited.
I arrived around 10am but the actors only got there around 8:30pm so I waited quite a while standing. But that's what it takes to get in the first row.
I managed to get my Jansport from the first movie signed by everybody !
I was so freaking pleased, all this afternoon waiting and 20mn of people pushing me against the fences definitely worth it by the end.

When Mark Webb saw me, he told me I got a nice suit and even said : "Yeaaaah, I dig the back pack !", It may not be much, but for the fanboy I am it meant a lot ! :D

And you know the best part ?
Every actors liked my suit, hence giving me the pleasure to get a picture with them !
Unfortunately I couldn't get Jaimie, but he did signed my back pack so there is that

Everyone around me was so jealous haha.
I was actually very surprise to see how they were all so humble and took their time to sign and take pictures with as much people as they could.
I mean, they even took your phone to take a selfie with you, not every Hollywood actors act like that with their fans.

Anyway, it was an incredible day and the movie was great. I can't even tell how happy I was as TASM is a very symbolic movie franchise to me.
Once it get released, go watch it as soon as you can ;)

Dane had another picture on his facebook page where you two are taking the selfie! You can't see his face, but I recognized your suit!
