MR TOS Enterprise - new pics

Looks great. I think the grid line issue is finally put to bed now.

Any chance of some vid of her lit up in room lighting?

It does look great.

If I were to nitpick, I'd like to make the grid even more subtle with a light overspray of the base color. If I were to nitpick. ;)

I agree - actually I'd go just a little further and say I'd like no grid at all :angel
If it's pencil lines, can it be erased?

Thanks for the pics Barry,

Howard.

Maybe you will warm up to the grid lines when you have her home.
Check out the bottom pic.......

I definitely see why the lines were placed on now... I am good with that.

Thanks for the reference shots Cessna.

Thanks again Barry for the production model pics.

more pics from World Sci Fi Con in L.A.
Is this the same one as Vegas?
[/b]

No, that Enterprise is the version before Comic Con. The one you saw at Vegas is the production version which is having the last couple of tweaks made to it. The one we sent to World Con features the smooth pencil lined hull, (not the recessed grid - we didn't want to spark that debate again). It also has the incorrect graysemi circular panel and weathering.

I think the pencil lines look fabuloso. I'm a fan of the use of that technique on my own stuff as well. It DOES work.

You guys at MR are doing a fantastic job on a subject where every third person is an expert. :D ;)

The level of scrutiny for this product is probably higher for this than for anything else in your product line.

oh MAN....

I go away for a week and come back to those GLORIOUS pics?.?. Thanks Barry....

I also got the great new Kirk in Chair figure from AA / DIamond Direct... and it too is super cool...

The Big Beautiful 1701 looks perfect.

By the way, what are those gray triangly thingys on the bottom of the saucer supposed to be anyways??
[/b]

I think they are supposed to be where landing legs would extend in the event of a saucer separation and emergency landing.

I just didn't want this to fall too far out of consciousness.... not to be too pushy... but...

Any new pics out there?.?.?

cheers,
-r.
