MR TOS Enterprise - new pics

Aw crap.... I just blew a gasget and I haben't seen the new pics yet...

Sounds like our faith in you guys is being rewarded, Barry... thanks for the good news...

cheers,

Hey Barry, thanks for keeping everyone informed. You know, I have to echo CessnaDriver's sentiment above, re: video of the enterprise nacelle lighting effects. I find it hard to understand why MR does not have a video of the ship on its website to show off the lighting. You would sell so many more if fans could see those effects. Anyway, I've already bought one and can't wait to get it. best wishes,

Alan Cross

Here's a link to a video I uploaded to youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6Cli6GA3Xk

The video is a previous engineering sample (one between the Comic Con and the Vegas versions). Ignore the light leak under the bridge and the missing deflector dish assembly. The point of the test was to see the level of diffusion in the nacelles.

The video appears more orange than it really is and the flashes of red, blue and green present in the nacelles are not so apparent as they are to the naked eye.

Enjoy.

WOW :eek

Was that done by adding distance between the "fans" and the domes or by using semi-transparent fans?

All done by altering the level of bead blasting on the outer and inner domes.

Barry - was there ever any discussion of having the shuttle bay open & detailed?

Gorgeous video btw -

I finally pulled the trigger on her. Anybody got a couch big enough for me & the E when she comes? I anticipate being homeless when the Mrs. get wind of this...

Wow. Seeing the video is a revelation. Because we only saw the lights work in the bright daylight MR booth at comic con. Seeing the lights in darkness is such a great preview of how the model could REALLY look in the proper "space-simulated" darkness. Get a video like that up on the MR website. Alan

Looks great.
I also notice the NAV light now blinks normally, without the fade out effect at comicon.

I don't believe so. The way the armature sits inside the engineering hull would preclude an accurate shuttle bay interior.

everytime I see you've posted Barry, my heart skips a beat. :D

This is SO exciting...

BTW... any chance at a downloadable version of that vid?.

thanks,

Might look for an .flv file in your browser cache, then download an FLV player.

From the MR blog.

Yeah, that pic would have been taken after the pilot episodes (when the ship had spikes) and the beginning of the regular production of the series.

Nimoy is wearing a prototype velour uniform. note the rounded collar and the solid rank stripe on the sleeve.

Here are the pics of how the Enterprise hull will look in production.

Pencil with a subtle tan weathering and panel to match the Enterprise in series 2/3.
