MR Collector Society kit- when does it ship?

Does anyone know when the MR Collector's Society kit is supposed to ship? I was billed on 2/1 so I thought it would ship shortly after that.

I wondered the same thing. I received an email from MR customer service on Jan 29 saying "Great News. The product listed below has arrived at our distribution center here in the U.S. and is ready to start shipping. "

Earlier this week I got to wondering if it had gotten lost in shipment, so I gave them a call. Their customer service person (who, by the way, did NOT instill me with confidence) told me that the CS membership kits were scheduled to be shipped out in mid-March.

So, that's what I know about it.

whenever they feel like it. i got mine 6 months later. even after asking, i was told it was low on their priority list

Thanks. I always thought they said they wouldn't charge until it's ready to send. No big deal, but if you're not going to send something for months, don't charge it.

They aren't charging for the kit. They are charging for the actual membership, which is effective immediately upon purchasing it. The kit is more of a free bonus.

I got an email on january 30th saying the kits were in and would be ready to ship within a week. I checked on MR's forum and it seems most people got that email, but MR hasn't said anything definitively yet. Most people are just assuming that the CS stuff went into effect and we can use that 10% off every purchase deal.

I only joined the dang CS this time around because the included gift was the QGJ mini saber - the one saber I've been waiting for to finish my EP.I display. Though the 10% off will definitely help me get the scale blasters I've wanted to get since the scale sabers were introduced.

Yeah, the email that went out was the generic "Your item is ready to ship" line because for most items the charge is applied when the physical item ships out. In this case the actual physical item isn't being charged for, it's the intangible membership. The email wasn't modified to reflect this.

They have to phrase it that way because (at least, US) laws require that the item be shipped within 30 days of being charged.

Do you mean your membership wasn't activated, or did you just not read this thread?

OK, that actually makes complete sense.
