movies you like that everyone else hates

The Village, Lady in the Water, and The Happening. I'd venture to say that The Village is my favorite film of all time, it's truly a work of art. Lady in the Water is also amongst my favorites. M. Night Shyamalan is a genius in my eyes.

I didn't know the television series was based on a previous movie, so I had to look it up. Assuming you're referring to Moonrunners, I'd never heard of it until about 5 minutes ago; needless to say, I haven't seen it. Should I?

Not really, but when you do, you see how much of the concepts they used for the show came from the film.

the new Battle LA...

just got back from it and loved it!

Rotten Tomatoes gave it 33%!

Ebert gave it 1/2 star!

seems just about every one hates Wolverine Origins. I think I have seen it 20+ times now.

But then again, I did hate the DD movie, but still watch the damn thing every time it is on tv :(

I thought the Fountain was one of the most brilliant movies I had ever seen, and EVERYONE I KNOW HATED IT.

I still think it was genius story telling, and I FELT that movie.

I'll second The Fountain.

I love Meet Joe Black. I catch fresh nuances and intricate delicacies of performance with each new viewing. One of my favorite films now.

I guess from all the hate I get to join in on this thread and put my name down for Sucker Punch, lol. I also like Star Trek IV. "Hello Computer"

Then again, i'm easy to please. :)

Barry Lyndon. Aside from some of my reenactor buddies not one single person who i've 'forced' to watch this movie has liked it.
Without this film there would be no 'Duelists' and that would be a travesty.

Barry Lyndon memory: Seeing this when it first came out... and the movie trudges along...battles... rich folk... and then you get this scene where two gay british officers are having a quiet, tender, conversation waist deep in a river... whoa!
