Wow, that's a lot of disappointment!Just about any movie made over the last 3 or 4 decades.

What about indie films or the smaller non-blockbuster films. Amelie, Donnie Darko, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Moon, The Town, Arrival, Midnight Special are just a few of the smaller films I could think of.
Strangely enough the few movies I wasn't disappointed in were the new Star Wars movies as I actually liked them. I have not been to a movie theater since the late 80's so the only time I see a movie is when it is shown on cable or a streaming service. I have not seen any of the movies you mentioned nor have I had any inclination to see them, I don't know if that makes me ignorant of what is out there but there you go.
I thought I was the only one who felt this way. I don't understand the following behind this film. It's not De Niro's worst, but it's far from his best.Taxi Driver: We watched it last night, my god that's a crappy film. Easily the worst acting I've seen De Niro do, the voice over was especially awful. It had a few cool camera shots but not enough to save it.
I think it's like a lot of movies that are made by young stylized directors like Scorsese was at the time or Kubrick. Hipster critics latch on to it because it's "edgy" and weird and violent and different and then everyone follows suit. Tarantino is another one I've never been into although I remember liking True Romance but it's been years since I've seen it so I might not even care for it if I watched it again.I thought I was the only one who felt this way. Twin Peaks ...
Twin Peaks is the show you get, when you go to make a show like Stranger Things, but forget to put in any of the ACTUAL supernatural happenings. At that point it's just people smoking to much, talking about coffee, and complaining about their day jobs.
