Movies that stick with you for some reason.

Murder by death is very underrated. Clue is too come to think of it. An odd one for me is the opening of Transformers the movie 1986 where an entire shuttle of characters is brutally murdered. That was heavy stuff for a kid's cartoon in 1986, especially when megatron blow's Ironhide's head off (off screen).

shawshank redemption, love it for the story, acting, music and Morgan Fing Freemen. first time i saw it i was at a boarding school that i hated like a prison, saw the movie and it reminded me that one day i would be free of that place (with out having to swim/crawl through a tunnel of dookie)

And yet later in the movie Ultra Magnus is blown apart/dismebered and the Junkticons put him back together, slap a fresh coat of wax on him and he's good to go. How the hell did that work? Any way back on topic, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Winds has always stuck with me, and I will always watch A Christmas Story if I see it on TV.

Yeah - that Transformers 86 movie was a surprise to say the least. I remember having to beg my buddies to go see it and when we were finally inside and all hell started breaking loose (as with the Megatron "Instruments of Destruction" scene - (yes I have the soundtrack) my friend Mike looked over at me and said "Holy ****!!". I still think the end scene when Hot Rod becomes Rodimus Prime was copied by the Matrix when Neo turns into "the one". The Rodimus scene of course being the better of the two IMO - uplifting "ARISE RODIMUS PRIME!"

Why hasn't some shirtsmith here on the board made Tees with the Matrix on the chest??

Don't forget Spike's "oh spit" line (replace the p with another letter) which was a first for a pg movie. I got the soundtrack back in the 90s with the added bonus of it being signed by Stan Bush. Sadly between the violence and the backlash by kids that Prime died they changed gi joe the movie's ending where Duke lives after being impaled by that snake. Actually that was still kind of edgy as in GI joe you rarely see anyone hurt let alone bleeding.
Logan's Run stuck with me for years when I saw it as a 5 or 6 year old one sunday afternoon.

Antichrist. I spent much of the next day reading reviews of it online, trying to decide if it was brilliant or awful or what. I'm still not sure, but it absolutely made a mark.

I'll give a +1 to Henry also.

I just read the wiki for Antichrist and it alone leaves a mark with the descriptions.

Now I've got to give it a watch!

Human Centipede II is very rough. What sticks with me the most is the kid crying in the car in the end credits...

How could that movie justify a sequel? Hell Comes to Frog town just because it's the silliest movie Roddy Piper ever did and actually had okay makeup effects.

The first one was a silly concept but it was the thought that was creepy. The second is a copycat killer inspired by the first film. It's just sick.
