I dunno if this will help any... from the Pappas cd:
Of COURSE it'll help Mr. Brown! Thank you very much sir. You and I both know, this type thing gets very touchy sometimes and kits ain't cheap for a buncha "buy-and-try" anymore.
I may have found a couple of the same shots? Much smaller, but here's what I've got like the one you posted.
Those come from the "Byyourcommand" website, or something similar site? I have a few from an old friend of mine named Mark Dickson. He's no longer here and he used to offer me tons of Galactica stuff several years ago, but I wouldn't let him since I never planned on building a studio scale Galactica and sending files on the net was a slow process. I shoulda got them from him because it's too late now and I miss my old buddy.
Nice detective work. Finding donors for this scale sure is hard
Never noticed it before, but this part look like a tank deck. I would have to be quite small scale if the treads are 1/35. Guessing maybe 1/72 or even HO scale 1/87, maybe as small as 1/144?
Not sure if you could find something that small for this build. Would have to be something like micromachines or z scale

Funny you should say that because I do love me some Columbo and I'm proud as I can be it shows! Hours well spent and I KNEW it wasn't for nuthin' no matter WHAT my wife said. BOO-YAH!
Mr. Analyzer, I ain't no expert by any means, but Yes, that tank you've got circled, and most of those along that edge, are ROCO Mini-Tanks in HO scale, so I was NOT the only one who wasted tim... I mean, WATCHED, Columbo. BOO-YAH AGAIN!!! I knew, by god, she was wrong.
That particular tank is the ROCO #254
Those tank tread links (on the studio Galactica) are mostly from here:
The rear deck from this same 1/25 kit is what you see here:
The worst part about hunting down donor kits on this one is, 1/144 is STILL too big and I seriously doubt there's much, smaller, with any detail worth trying. All those 1/144 kits I just picked up are strictly hoping they'll have some things to speed up the scratch building of things.
If memory serves, they used Roco MiniTanks on the engine section. There are some for sale on the bay of e, that look like good matches.
Mr. edge, you is 100% correct. Thank you. See, I woulda knowed that if I hadn't wasted so much time watching Colum... WOAH???
Does anybody know what types of tanks?
Those along the sides of the engine section, Mr. moonbus, are ROCO Mini-Tanks. Inside that gap between the upper and lower sections of the engine are the treads from the ROCO.s all tucked in.
Thank y'all for the help fellas! I knew I liked y'all.
Rob.
