And surgery to top mandibles to bring them closer in and back them up a tad. Filled in the gaps with that Hobby Filler.
Also filled in his brow a bit with it. There I go again pretending that stuff is clay. Hope it works. Seems to hold up on the pink foam well.

How many days till Halloween? Okay ...

My parents are in town so we just chatted after dinner while I worked on a Predator head. Haha!

This looks awesome! I'm in awe of your command over foam. Very inspired.

Thanks Raven!

Going to start the back pack tonight and I've decided to redo the gauntlets so I'll form those tonight. Then one more coat of the liquid latex. It's too late for me to upgrade to RD407 or the like. It should be fine. I hope.

I volunteered to make posters for my kids' elementary "spooktacular" so some creative time lost today to poster board and markers. :)

Based on the work you've shown so far, I have faith that they'll look great! Looking forward to seeing more from you! Back to figuring out how to cast my torso in plaster lol..

Started the back pack with the canon mount? Whatever. Progress. :p

4th coat? Sculpted the filler foam that was added yesterday a bit. The color of the latex before it dries is almost similar to the base coat I'm wanting. Exciting to see what it may look like painted.

Chest straps done! Mostly EVA, velcro, and contact cement.

Added a couple pieces to the canon mount. Then tested the canon. It's too tall for my taste. May have to rethink it.
Canon rebuild most likely what to do, but her head is huge (Predator bobblehead is what this may look like) so
I'll test fit it first.

4th layer of latex YES! And very nice armor, backpack and cannon you are making Red2 ...

Thanks, Shogun! I'm on 5th and 6th I think now, but mostly fills and sculptural adds.

Getting tipsy! Heating and rolling tips of the backer rod. This is my straightening rig. :p

Added mounting pegs using some smaller backer rod and contact cement. Still have most of the middle row of dreads to make.

Test fit some dreads after getting the pegs on there. Not too shabby.

Tested some contact cement on the latex to check if that will be good for securing the dreads. It will. That sucker was not going to come off without something tearing.

Plastidip started!!

Continued with the back plate/canon mount tonight. Cut some XPS and shaped to match the back as best as possible, then mounted some 6mm EVA foam.

Red2 hey for your dreads it is better than nothing my friend seriously...i did used backer rods too for saving some money ....they are used just for adding a touch up on my predator mask....so it looks more full of dreads.... but yes Termokk or Wreav and others here can sell you dreads for like 4$ a dread US dollars....

Thanks, Shogun! I'm sure it'd look great with the dread upgrade but a couple things I have to consider are cost, of course, but also the size of her mask. It's a tad smaller, but also it needs to be light for her tiny noggin/body to walk around with. So the light weight of the backers is ideal.

Hoping it passes muster once it's all together. If her mask were even just 10% bigger then the 3/4" rods wouldn't have worked at all.

I had her test fit the mask on again with the breast plate so I could size up the canon position and she took the mask off immediately
and said, "It stinks." I agreed with her that it's slightly stinky but she won't notice when she's wearing the whole thing. She seemed discouraged.

My wife had the great idea to add a couple drops of peppermint essential oil to the chin on the inside. Worked great. My daughter said, "Better!"
