MG-34 or DLT-19 Blaster Conversion Help Needed

I'm finally finishing up this ever illusive and massive blaster which is the DLT-19 or MG-34.

I've already watched the film and starred at several reference photos but I can't tell if the butt of the gun is actually a wood grain or painted black?

Also, it looks like there are 5 grips per section or 10 total grips (T-track). Is this correct?

didnt the screen used MG34 have a bakelite stock, im sure i read somewhere it did meaning it wouldve been black or dark brown .... hope this helps.

The disk attached to the side looks a lot like the disk that was thought to be attached to the Han Hero blaster from ANH. Very interesting.
