Merchandise and props you can buy at Disney’s upcoming Galaxy’s Edge attraction.

With the amount of sporks on ebay now, I assume people are just stealing them? I cant imagine theyre giving away metal utencils like plastic forks..

I had assumed that these were plastic sporks made to look metal. I just couldn’t imagine Disney not anticipating that fans would want something like this as a free souvenir.

LOL, wow. Ive also noticed now that I cant find any of the pile of listings I was seeing the other day, maybe Disney reported them to ebay as stolen items.

I can't imagine the unit cost of these is too much when mass producing in high numbers. Why not just add the cost to the meal and advertise as a souvenir with purchase.

Can't wait to get my kid one of those Kowakian Monkey Lizards.... though it'll be Oct 2020 at the earliest until we can make it across the pond.

I really hope that everything I've seen is general release stuff and not limited in any way (expect for where you can buy it from).

I am friends with one of the exec chefs and he said the spork theft is out of control. They lost 50% of their silverware in the first 5 days.

Does i seem like no one is really bothering with the antiquities sabers much at all? I have found video after video covering every angle of the build it yourself sabers down to all the last details, but almost no one does much with the known character sabers outside of a quick glance in a video covering everything at once.

I don't know why they wouldn't anticipate people taking the sporks. They made those R2D2 mailboxes and people stole them, and that's a federal crime!

I know of two that were stolen, one in Illinois and one in California. Rancho Obi Wan has a copy of sorts, made with the proper vinyl wrap but the mailbox isn’t a proper postal box and the size is just a wee bit different. They used to have a sign on it stating that it WAS NOT an official postal box and please do not call the FBI.
Steve did try to get an original, but the post office said nope, hence forcing him to make his own.

Disney might consider switching to plastic spork versions or just sell them for a couple of bucks at the gift shop. I was at first shocked at how many hit eBay, and then I thought about it for about one more second and said, yeah, duh, of course people will. Resell a T-shirt or hat, sure, I guess. Sell a stolen spork, not exactly the petty crime I’d like my name attached to. :)

This looks familiar... not exact but damn close.
