Mask question and advice

Hello,
I was wondering if any of you guys (or gals) who have made mask before have any advice or preference on making the eyes on your masks. I'm almost to that stage and I don't know which is a better rout to take with the eyes. Do any of you prefer making eye holes and using your own eyes ( for more realistic movement and look as well as visibility? Or do you prefer using eyes that resemble the predators actual eyes and inserting hidden vision slits? Just curious as to what some of you prefer due to your experiences because I have none.
Thanks and I appreciate any advise.

cut holes and use your own eyes. or better yet get the contacts ptgreek suggested. painted eyes look like exactly just that. painted eyes. breath some life into your pred head with your own eyes.

Besides realism, one thing you should be concerned about is being able to see and perform while wearing the mask. A mask will limit your peripheral vision a lot, even if you make the eyes fairly wide. If you just cut narrow slits for vision and then put in some other kind of eyeball, you'll have a real problem trying to see, and you'll end up stumbling around a lot.

You can come up with a good effect by using the contacts, as suggested, and then putting some black makeup around your eyes so they don't see your skin. Here's how I did it:

These aren't the 9mmsfx lenses, though. I got these for 50% off since I helped out at a Halloween store, while suited up in my Predator costume.

Awesome! that answers my question. I will definitely go the eye hole route. The 9mmfx lenses were dope but, out of our budget for sure. $300 is a lot. I did look around and found some pretty cool ones for about $50. Thanks guys!
