Marvel Movie Rights and Future Marvel Movies

Forget about spidey. All i want is Dr strange and Black panther.

Why does everyone like Black Panther so much? I never saw him as anything special.

How about an Alpha Flight series? (I'm kind of joking... never actually read it)

Is This The End Of The Marvel Movie Age? | Badass Digest

And here I thought Disney would allow Marvel to continue to remain independent with their creative decisions.
Is it the case that Disney, after adopting the golden child named Star Wars, is making their faithful over-achieving stepson Marvel live in a locked room under the stairs?
As much as I love Star Wars I have more faith and hope in Marvel.
Disney execs probably see the superhero thing as a trend in movie history - one that they rode well and intend to dump before they get thrown.
I can't believe I'm saying this but I would even rather see SW VII bomb (and subsequent success for Age of Ultron) if it means a wake up call at Disney to free up the reigns on Marvel's creative forces ... assuming it's not too late.

And assuming that's the actual problem....it's all innuendo, rumor, and hearsay at the moment.

Still, Marvel's playing with house money so to speak. Avengers hit a billion BEFORE rentals, BR's and DVD's, etc. Damn near pays for all the other movies they've made at this point. None have posted a loss, so they're 10 figures+ in the black at this point. Can't see anyone screwing with such a monumental success as marvel's been since Iron Man. If they faltered, then I could see it, but otherwise it makes absolutely no sense at all.

That's true ... especially seeing it's sourced from Latino Review. I hope it's all BS ... at least mostly all BS.

This makes me have doubts about Thanos ever assembling the Infinity Gauntlet. Will they muck it all up before then?

Why mess with the talent that got you this far?

If the Marvel run dies I'm not sure if I can stomach another Fox/Sony (or Warner) reboot/reinterpretation of the superhero genre.

The key creative team has left the movie few weeks before going into production, that's a very very bad sign all the way through no matter what "official" announcement Marvel makes.

Latino Review has managed to dig up scoops more accurately than any other site past several years, sure there have been some stinkers but their track record is still commendable.

I hate to say it, but I feel that I saw this coming. I have often wondered how long the Marvel movies would go before becoming reduced to Batman and Robin nonsense. We all know it will come sooner or later.

I don't understand the Whedon picture.

Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and the World's End (all three directed by Edgar Wright) are known as the Cornetto Trilogy, because a different flavor of Cornetto appears in each movie. Whedon took a pic of himself holding a Cornetto in support of Edgar Wright departing Ant Man over creative differences.
