Marty McFly's Jeans...Let's Talk

Another one for sale here in Japan.

Another one for sale here in Japan.
it's not the same model with Marty's (1050) and they have some zipper feature at the sides near the hem.

Just snagged these off of eBay - not sure if they’re the exact correct model but I think they have enough markers of the ‘85 jeans that I’m happy with:

Update: these 28s fit but just barely! I’m 5’3” and pretty skinny, I usually wear a 26-28 waist. The inseam, calf and thigh fit perfectly, but the seat and waist (which is more like a 24) are such that I can just barely squeeze into them. Definitely gonna be on the hunt for a pair one or two sizes up. It’s a shame because I’ve yet to see another pair on eBay with the belt loops lined up correctly (the ‘85 pair are my favorite).

I remember hearing an old wives tale where you put on a pair of jeans and then jump into a shower with them on and then wear them until they are completely dry, they will fit properly. Not sure how true it is but maybe it's worth a try?

This is the first pair of jeans with which I’ve seriously considered doing the shower thing. They really suffered for their style in the 80s.

Hey guys,

So I got these on a auction site, just wondering if anyone of you eagle eyed lot could tell me if they are 1050s as due to the age of them the model number has faded completely!

I think they are close enough for me no matter what model they are, I’d just like to know what I have for my obsessions sake.

These look like a pretty good match for the 1987 model with the misaligned front belt loops and the larger gap between the back pockets and yoke.

Not sure if that second thing varies by size or by model - either way, looks good to me!

Fits to your whole leg. Is it skinny or regular fit? My 1050 is so baggy in nature i gotta go to the tailor to make it slimmer.

Hello, I have these jeans, I don't know if they are the same model or if they are authentic, they are size 36 which seems strange to me because they are normally size 28

Haha well that was six years ago, but no, there wasnt' enough interest to even get a prototype pair made.
Damn. There’s basically nothing in the market for replicas. Headgoonie took a crack at it, but they were not great and are no longer available.

Unsure if this will be of any help, but these are the jeans that I own it is basically a mix of 1050s and 22050s in various washes. All size 31 for reference

Something that I find is that the two pairs of 1050s, I own are both same size, but the back pocket placement is different on both. So I don’t think pocket placement is down to the size but more the batch that was made?

Just found a pair of 1050s in my size, 32 inseam, from the bay. Anything I should know about them before I wear? I'm going to be using these as normal jeans, not for cosplaying (yet!).
