Marty McFly 2015 Tshirt

Here's the other "screenused.com" pic, where you can see the label. I can't recognize the brand, but at least we can see, that MJF wore a shirt size M.

I did some investigation using this known reference image of the original screen used costume piece. At first I thought it might be a Town Craft brand Tee from JCPenney. (The person who photographed it has stated it was a Size Medium sold by 'JCPenney'.)

But they all seem to be Polo Shirts with a front pocket on the left breast. Which Marty McFly's shirt does NOT have!

No breast pocket on the original shirt as you can see.

After some searching, I was able to find a genuine vintage Royal Comfort brand Maroon Red T-Shirt in size Large(42-44). A perfect fit for me!

It’s worth noting that the TownCraft shirts are identical, just a different label. I’ve compared a few and can’t find a single stitch of difference.

The only difference I've noticed in the all images I've seen of the TownCraft is the Breast Pocket itself. Have you ever found a Plain Tee from TownCraft?

Yep! Both brands were made in both variations.

The “polo tee” with the pocket is vastly more common for both. They’re identical aside from the pocket.

Ahh I see, yes I have yet to come across a single TownCraft Plain Tee but I have found many Polo Tees.

In terms of color the shirt from BTTF Part 1 has a rich deep Maroon/Burgandy Red appearance on screen. Where as the shirt from BTTF Part 2 & 3 has a lighter Cardinal Red color. Perhaps it could be the same shirt just faded, or maybe a different shirt was sourced, it’s difficult to know for sure. All the TownCraft shirts that I have seen appeared to be closer to the cardinal red from part II & III. Though they could have just been faded from age as well, I’m guessing both brands produced both shades of red.

I agree that low-resolution image we have of the screen used shirt tag appears to coincide with the Royal Comfort logo, not the TownCraft logo.

But if you say the 'Royal Comfort' & 'Town Craft' are the same shirt aside from the label on the tag then I believe you, I know you’ve definitely done your research on this shirt!
So if anyone finds a TownCraft shirt in the right color and size without the pocket it’s basically screen accurate as well (aside from the brand label on the tag which nobody sees anyways)

I found a Royal Comfort brand T-Shirt in the correct ‘Red-15’ color on eBay recently. I plan to remove the pocket and then it will be accurate to BTTF II & III, while my Maroon T-shirt that I previously posted above is accurate to part 1.
The difference is most noticeable in the driveway scene at the end of part 1 that was recreated with the new Jennifer actress at the beginning of part 2.

And here’s a photo I took together with my Shah Safari button-up shirt. Although it’s a modern reproduction unlike the vintage Royal Comfort Tee it’s still genuine Shah Safari brand.
