Mark 40 Shotgun WIp

Hey bsd by chance on the abs if u ever redo anything could you make the back of the abs go up like the mark 4/6 ,7 I'm having trouble with it being functional the way they are but no critiquing meant just puttin it out there but great files overall thanks much :)

The suit looks awesome! Interesting colour scheme, what made you go with that?

I used that color because I do no own a airbrush yet.. I will be getting one soon because I one can only get so many spraypainted colors.

I'm new and I just want to say BSD you kick @#$!!! This is my favorite armor from the movie! Going to have to give it a go as my first build.

Multicam-40.jpg A Little color test! Yes/No? What do we think?

Thank You! Always nice to get an outside opinion on something you've been working on for a while. Especially when its such a positive response!

No, It's not my model. Someone, somewhere on the therpf posted a raw untouched file (IM3 armor) from the Iron man 3 game. And I just played heavily with the .png file in Photoshop to try out some different paint jobs. For me getting the color scheme right is the first step before I build something like this, I cant simply picture something in my head like most people. I need to actually see it first. When I do start my build I will be using BSD MK40 shotgun foam by gaiatron files for my armor.

So you're saying that it's the low poly model that Balmung posted, ripped from the mobile game. Sorry, but you gotta give credit where credit is due.

It doesn't look very low poly, did you sharpen up the model any? If not, that is a damn good job with the texture, friend!

I have no problem giving credit, I just couldn't remember where I found the file at. Just checked it out and Yes, Balmung is who I got the files form.
I wanted to sharpen it more but I don't really know how to use DAZ Studeo or Bryce very well at all. I opened the .obj file in Daz and then sent it over to Bryce. Photoshopped the schnikes out of the map .png and then sent that over to Bryce too. Rendered it in Bryce and sent the Image back over to Photoshop for a little touch up work! There is a .mtl file as well but as of yet I haven't figured out how to use it yet?

Yes that is a low poly model textured very well to make it look like it is hi poly.. The game model was a base that I used as well as the images from the movie to get good detail. But you take away that texture it looks like a bunch of triangles :) The way they also hide the low poly count is by using bump mapping and very good shaders to add even more detail to make it look like the lines have depth even if they do not in the model.. It is how they save memory in the game as well as time.

When do you plan to start your build?
I'm working on the mask right now but as this is my first time to attempt anything like this.... I don't have to tell you, there is a crazy amount of cutting and bending involved. and actually owning a printer would make this whole proses go much much faster. I have great respect for what you guys do on therpf! :popcorn
