Marion Ravenwood white dress?

Anyone ever actually do this outfit? My girlfriend and I are debating couples costumes for Halloween, and since I already have an Indy outfit, we thought maybe we'd do Marion as an alternative. I was thinking the white dress would work (I like it a little better than the Streets of Cairo outfit), but I'm having a devil of a time finding anyone who sells any kind of replicas. Just wondering what other folks have done (and yes, I'm cross-posting this to Club Obi-Wan).

I know some one on COW had one made for is wife or girlfriend for the yearly Queen Mary event, but that was 9 or 10 years ago, so it has been done. I want to say it was done by a local (for them) seamstress. This may be the best option: finding a local seamstress or dress maker to do one.

Yeah, that's kind of what I'm guessing. It's either that or something REALLY expensive (like $1K or more). I'm leaning more towards repurposing an existing dress and maybe adding some lace to the shoulders, if we go this route.

Todds costumes made one which they showed off at their stand at a Con (can't remember which) I think Todds will offer it at some point

They're terrific pieces, both of 'em, but it's looking like this will end up being a bit too expensive for this year's costume. Ah well. Maybe next year.
