Mandalorian Reference Thread

Layers 1 and 2 are the same layer, just with a "double sleeve" like you find on Boba or Jango. Something like this:

I assume you could also cut down on the heat by replacing some of that layer with mesh in areas that are covered by the layer you called 4.

Awesome, thank you!

Has anyone managed to work out the boots he’s wearing? Or started looking into it? Obviously modified ones to some extent but a similar boot to start from? Thanks

It looks like (at least to me) that there may be some sort of time jump because there are several of these scenes where his chest and shoulder armor is pristine, while in others it is red with paint chipping. This seems to be too big a difference to be a simple error. (If you look at the new trailer, you can see the pristine armor at 0:57, 1:21, and 1:25)

I think that’s been addressed in this thread that it’s upgrades he does to his armor throughout the series. Starts off with the older armor and then upgrades it as he earns his bounty iirc

Notice the digital readout on his right gauntlet?

The way the Trandosian weapon bounces of his back means he would have a back plate under the cape.
The jet pack adds to that theory.

I've started work on designing up the flight suit as I understand it. Pants as one piece, shirt (with double layer sleeves) as another. There's a separate cowl piece which tucks into the collar I think (and the collar is kinda high in front, and up to the base of the skull in back). I think I've worked out what most of the panels and stitching is doing.

Also, I didn't see it linked anywhere but a thread on the Dented Helmet has *tons* of pictures from the D23 expo: The Mandalorian Costume @D23
