Ok. I got bored of waiting. More sanding at 600. Then liiiiiiight as I could coat it.

I absolutely hate these cans. First time for me. And the last. I will never use one again. They suuuuuuuck. Actual paint running down my trigger finger as I spray. Awful control. Very much dislike. Grumble.

I love rust-o paints. Generally. This format? Shoot me in the face. No.

Time for a bit of paint on the body. Minimal as I can make it.

Errrrrrrrr. Is this after the light gold spray. Or before? Heck. Hard to tell. I’m going with light since the heavier sprays have been “hey I’d like to maybe not dry at all after 19 days”

I'm following your build with intense attention...saying that, did you spray your gold on a mat black? Keep on truckin', it's looking sharp and crisp

The material itself (the ASA) was black. I primed with a rub thru primer which was grey.

So. I decided to forge ahead. Even if the paint did not feel bone dry after a good day or two in the sun. I’m almost wondering if the gold paint is either crap or a bad batch. So for now I’m lightly sanding at 600 with a block.

Yep, some gold/silver paints are a PITA to use and, for some cruel reasons, have a tendency to stay tacky for a while

My hatred is they lose the luster and change to gray and/or tan in unexpected situations.

I'm intending to cover with a matt clear once its all done. Hopefully that offers some kind of protection
