"MagnaTRON" Home Theater Room With Movie Props

A Dunhill Rollagas (from the movie KIngsman) has arrived and a Sideshow miniature Crystal Skull has been added to the bookshelf Indiana Jones display.

More lighters have arrived (I bought a lot so not all are from movies specifically, but I'll keep an eye out for them), although one was a separate purchase and it's the lighter from All Through The Night (Humphrey Bogart 1942), a Regens "Squeeze Lighter" (back right).

Also there are a Ronson Princess (back left) (possible lighter from Casablanca that Rick/Bogart played with in his pocket as it matches the top, which is all you can really see).

Back middle is a Ronson Varaflame (early butane gas lighter from the 1950/60s).

Middle row (left) is a Rogers lighter and (right) a Ronson Petite

Front row (left) is a Nasco baby arm-lift lighter (mid/late 1940s lighter as it says "Made In Occupied Japan" on it). It works, but it's missing the fuel cap on the bottom (might be hard to locate one other than from another lighter) so it would evaporate quickly.

Front row (right) is a tiny Minix playboy lighter (playboy logo on other side...doh; I've attached a separate photo of the other side below). It's built somewhat like a miniature Zippo (pulls out and fuel added from bottom with a click top, but not wind proof).

I decided to give my Fifth Element Stones (as scented tea candle holders and matching color candles for the element) a light with the Dunhill lift-arm lighter.... (with and without overhead lighting on)

More lighters added to the collection.... The first one is a Dunhill Unique Sports Turbo (a rather pricey modern jet lighter I got for well below what they usually go for, but still not cheap). It still closely resembles the original 1920s Dunhill Sport wick lighter. Dunhill updated it to use butane and piezo electric ignition with a blue flame jet best for lighting cigars.

The other one is a cheap Chinese fascmiscile of a Corona Old Boy pipe lighter (complete with tamper that fits into the bottom). The latter I wanted for a lighter to actually be able to take with me and not worry about it, unlike the display or investment lighters that cost more or are hard to replace.

The 1936 Ronson Touch Tip with watch/clock has arrived in tow from Samuel Spade's Office in 1941 shortly after the case of The Maltese Falcon courtesy of my Delorean drone sized time machine!

This is the 1980s/90s Dunhill Unique gas lighter. It's the same model used in James Bond License to Kill except it's gold striped instead of flat silver and engraved.

I got these two lighters in today. Both are vintage, but I'm not sure if they're in any movies yet or not.

The silver one is a Maruman GL-66 gas lighter (1980s I think). It's a bit touchy getting the gas flowing so far, but still works.

The gold one is a Ronson Varaflame Starfire (1950s/60s) in mint condition with art deco touches and a skyscraper like look to it. It was advertised as untested, but it worked like brand new once I freed up the flint chamber and cleaned off the striker wheel and filled it up with Dunhill gas.

Wow a movie lighter collection. That is a pretty unique and cool idea!

Thanks, but I don't know how unique it is. Several people have collected lighters from Indiana Jones movies, etc. and I'm certainly not the first to get a Maltese Falcon Touch Tip lighter, but I have seemed to delve into lighters the past six months or so (beyond just movie lighters; I started collecting any lighters I thought were cool or unique or I could get a good deal on, especially Dunhill lighters. I got a repair manual online for lighters up to 1954, so I was kind of having fun with old wick lighters (haven't failed to get one of those working yet. Gas lighters are another matter).

My 1970s era Dunhill Blue Lacquer and Gold Plate Rollagas has arrived from Japan, fully refurbished with new seals, etc.

It's the same lighter type as in Kingsman (see above somewhere for my exact match version), just in blue lacquer instead of gold wheat/diamond or whatever that texture was called. It was too pretty to resist with the original box and instructions no less.

I think I need to join Lighters Anonymous or something. I've clearly got a collecting addiction. I now have like 7 more lighters on the way ordered in the past 4 days.... (that will bring the total over 40 lighters in less than 6 months). Many of these lighters aren't cheap. The worst part is I don't even smoke....

I've even got Dunhill cologne coming now....

But I digress....

I made a trade deal with a member here for Blade Runner 2049 glasses (They just arrived from France). The one on the left is Harrison Ford's whiskey glass from the Las Vegas hotel. The one in the middle is the whiskey glass from Agent K's apartment and the one on the right is the whiskey glass from the police station the Captain uses before she's killed by a Replicant.

I told you I had a lighter problem.....

Hadson Castle lighter (Zippo rip-off)

Maruman Corinth Lighter (another Dunhill Sylphide rip-off also similar to my Hadson Moonlite). Unfortunately, this one has a defect in it (it was supposedly serviced and guaranteed but the adjustment for the flame doesn't work and either my adapter doesn't fit the fill valve or the adjustment setting at open full is making it hard to fill (normally you turn it to the lowest setting and it's stuck on high). The place I bought it from says they will fix it if I send it back or give me my money back if they cannot so off it goes again....

Overall closeup view of lift-arm gas and rollagas lighters for comparison (well all save the extra tall gold one; that is a Casablanca wick lighter):

I've got a REAL Dunhill Sylphide (Gold plated with black lacquer side panels) on the way.... couldn't resist it.... AND a Dunhill silver Rollalite (precursor to Rollagas) AND a Silver Rollagas with mysterious scribbling on the back (appears to be GPS treasure map coordinates or something!) plus some ST Dupont look-alikes.....

Arrgghhh! Got to stop buying lighters!
