MacGuyver's Mr. Incredible Suit Huntorial *LOTS OF PICS!*

hey I didnt want to start a new pointless topic so I figured Id ask here. If you sprayed the latex with the airbrush do you have to add some water to it I pretty sure you do? Just a little stumped. And what color would you suggest adding to the latex to give it that skinlike tint? Maybe light tan or cream color?
Thanks.

has anyone had any luck with buying something like that but doing some adjustments to the arms or stomach. I found one that fits, But i have wide shoulders and a small waist. I feel like I may hulk out and burst through the material if i try to touch my toes. The next size up dangles on me like i am a little kid wearing his fathers pajamas.

Hey man I am sure you can hem it up. I am only sixteen and I fit into the suit alright just a little loose on the leg areas and I should be able to hem it up but I havent started painting yet...But what suit are you using because for the mr incredible suit it is one size fits all. I ordered mine on eBay. Maybe your using a different suit? But I am sure you will be fine just try to hem it up with some heavier duty string so it doesnt rip when you put the latex on. If you have any other questions I am sure I can help since I already have the suit!

congratulations..AMAZING JOB...ill try to get some ideas for my near future female predator...any maker you recomend please? thanks..

Well. after your post, looks "easy" make a skin but i know is not. I dont have any latex or airbrush paint experience but im reading most of things here to try to learn, english is not my the best too so im translating most of things to get easy for me (and is not). I need more info about what king of latex is the best for this kind of work (i need 100% full moviment cause im dancer) and my suit will be a female so i was thinking about to make first a white lycra suit and after start with your process. Can you please tell me too if latex work in every kind of lycra or ineed to do a suit in other kind of materrial? Any tutorial about how to choose, find and use latex? THANKS a lot all here, and for your AMAZING tutorial!

Wow! This is a really helpful tutorial! Thanks for taking the time to post this. I just had one question (and anyone can chime in). I'm getting ready to start building a female predator suit and I wasn't sure if the Mr. Incredible suit would really work. I only say this because, in all of the pictures that I have seen, the female predators depicted didn't have prominent muscles (but I know that according to the books females are supposedly supposed to be bigger than males but seeing as I'm only 5'5 that's not gonna happen lol). So with that said, I was planning on just ordering a Mrs. Incredible or regular spandex catsuit but b4 I do I was wondering if any of you know what kind of suit that people have used to make female pred skins? I've looked around and haven't really found any definitive answers/opinions. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!! Please and thank you!

Outstanding ! I'm just starting to compile information to start my first suit and this was amazing ! Thank you so much for taking the time to post this up. This one is going into my bookmarks for sure. Now to just wait for Halloween to be over with so I can buy suits and supplies at discount and clearance prices.

shepredator, PrettyHuntress

what I use is Bal Togs #3815 cotton/lycra bodysuit, get suntan color, and be sure it does not have a seam down the front.

It can be either

latexed and painted

or

painted with Createx airbrush fabricpaint; here you can heat set it after it dries by putting it in the clothes dryer for about 15 minutes.
Then it can be washed :)

I've added in a "PREP TIPS" section to my above tutorial. I've gotten a lot of inquiries from members looking for advice tips & such about this particular tutorial, so I figured that I'd add in a few new tips to the tut as they come up. o_O

In an effort to help create a more thoroughly detailed tutorial & reduce the number of other threads out there, I'd also like to also make all members aware that they're ALWAYS encouraged to add in & offer up any other new tips which may be applicable for this particular type of "Mr. Incredible Latex Suit Project".

Please feel free to post up any tips/advice/ideas as they pop into your heads! I'll then go through the reply posts here & add the new info, advice & tips into the main tut post here in the future wherever the info will best apply within the steps. o_O

Thanks again to everyone for all the great comments already posted! :)

do you need the deluxe suit or can you just use the like $30 one or should i just get the deluxe one lol and how much latex do you need like a gallen

Absolutely amazing! I really want to make a latex suit like this but I have been advised that it would be extremely hot and uncomfortable because the latex traps body heat. How bad is it, really?
thanks! :D

Make sure you buy the Mr. I suit specifically with muscles! I ordered the cheapest I could find, came in the identical packaging, and had no muscles just a jumpsuit! I had to re order the muscle version. Unlike previous statements they do come in sizes, I got an XL and I'm 6' 190lbs and it fits perfect (most places-Ebay-try to sell the standard size). I found the cheapest on buy.com for $40 shipped to my door. Bought a gallon of monstermakers.com RD-407 latex and ready to get started this weekend!

Got it done...time for the hard part...paint :D

This huntorial is awesome. I got so inspired that I'm doing my suit this way. The only questions I have are: Was the first layer difficult to apply? I almost used an entire half gallon of liquid latex because of how the material soaks up the latex? Were the additonal layers easy to apply past the first? And how long does liquid latex take to dry? It's a little cold in my garage, so it seems to be taking longer to dry. But I have the first layer drying right now. I forgot to tint the first layer, so the next one will get a darker tan color.
I greatly appreciate you putting up the pics and stuff. Good topic.
Thanks.
